Companies like Budget and Avis share the same small counter and service staff next to the shopping center parking lot where I picked up the car. The actual contract was with Avis. The car model was different, but the condition was good. The advantage was that no deposit was required. However, they added 'full insurance,' but I didn't get to see the specific terms. Returning the car was smooth.

The process was convenient, and the car was very new. I will choose this company again next time.

The company gave me a free upgrade to a new BMW, which was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, I had an accident near my destination on the first day, but the company arranged for me to be taken to the hotel. I was very satisfied on the first day. However, things changed on the second day. The company scheduled a car inspection at the hotel from 9 to 11, but they were late. I handed the keys to the hotel administrator to handle it on my behalf. After the company towed the car away, I couldn't contact them anymore. The phone didn't work and the internet was down. I've tried many times without success and don't know how to settle this. I'm already home, and I had to use a lot of taxis. I'm not sure if I can get reimbursed.

Quick delivery and good service attitude

One of Budget's locations is inside a hotel. We arrived an hour later than our scheduled time, and picked up the car in the hotel's parking lot. Although it was my first time renting a car overseas and I was a bit nervous about possible issues, the staff's service attitude was good. I hope I won't receive any local fines afterward.

The staff was deliberately making things difficult for Chinese customers. We were delayed for more than an hour late at night, very frustrating!

Overall, it was okay, but two things were annoying: 1. London has a congestion charge, but this wasn’t clearly explained when picking up the car. The phone was also unanswered later. Due to the high fines in London, I chose to pay the congestion charge to avoid any potential fines. 2. When the car had a tire issue, their chosen partner was slow to respond.

The car pickup was quite convenient, and returning the car was easy too. Not bad.
