We couldn't lock our doors because we didn't have a way to open it. The engine lights went on when we arrived at our location. The wear on one of the tires was uneven making the vehicle shake.
I was at the Right Car counter, and I signed the contract. And soon after the representative took it back and tore it saying he was cancelling the reservation. I was asked to show my insurance which I did and he claimed the liability was not enough. I have attached a copy of my insurance and as you can see it has 100/300/100 limit, so I was trying to find out where is my insurance lacking the coverage and asking for an explanation. At no point did I ever refuse their insurance. And in fact even agreed to purchase it. The representative just decided to cancel the reservation with no value reason and ask me to leave. I had prepaid the entire amount of reservation and was told I would get no refund. I see no fault of mine in this and the least I deserve is my money back. Not to mention this caused me a lot of inconvenience, wasted my time, and I had to end up looking for another car rental which costs me a lot money. I had never ever experienced such terrible car rental experience in my life before.

Great site and I’d recommend it. Not sure about the window of booking though. Emphasis that I had to have the car back within an hour window even though it was only 16 hours of that final day.
I reserved the car for 19:30 and thought there would be some paperwork to do, so I arrived at the pickup point a bit past 7 PM. It was already dark in New Zealand, and the place was very poorly lit. There was a locked gate outside, and I had to call them. They told me to wait 15 minutes, and I said okay. After a while, an Indian man (same accent as on the phone) arrived, but he didn't have the key to the gate. He made another call and said he had a key to the office and would try to crawl through the gap under the door to find the gate key. I told him to be careful. He brought a bunch of keys and handed them to me to try opening the gate. Eventually, one key worked. After getting inside, he pointed to a four-door car and said it was mine. I was shocked because I had booked and paid for a twelve-seat Hiace. He then pointed to a white Hiace by the roadside and said that was it, but it hadn't been cleaned. I was very upset and asked about their service quality. He told me to take photos and file a complaint, but it was too dark to take clear pictures (I later managed to take a few). Inside, the vehicle was very smelly and dirty with lots of trash (which I cleaned myself). The fuel tank was only 3/4 full. I showed him, and he said I could return it with 3/4 fuel as well. However, he wouldn't let me go and insisted on a 3500 NZD deposit because I hadn't bought full coverage insurance. I told him I had basic insurance, but he kept pushing me to buy additional coverage, asking at least three times. Despite the poor service, he was still trying to make money. He then offered an option to pay 10 NZD per day for two days, reducing the deposit to 2500 NZD. I was very mistrustful of the company by then and asked for other options. He said I could buy full insurance for 25 NZD per day (totaling 50 NZD) plus a 500 NZD deposit. I went with this option and signed a handwritten note about holding 500 NZD cash for full insurance. Two days later, I returned the car at 7:30 PM. He checked the car (same guy), then pulled out a car inspection form and said he forgot to inspect it when I picked it up, asking for my signature. He then returned the 500 NZD deposit and had me sign another note confirming the return. This was so unprofessional. I've never experienced such poor service from a car rental company before. I asked him who to complain to and he said the booking website. I said fine and left, never to use this car rental service again. Terrible experience.

They bait you with low rates and then force you to take "mandatory" insurance that triples the price of the rental.
They tried to give me an old car with cigarette burns and smell at first and I had to insist for them to give me a reasonable clean car.
The car had barely any gas on it. I assume on purpose so I return it with more gas than they gave me.
Their service is horrendous!
You should not do business with them anymore or you will loose your reputation. You will certainly loose my business.
Do not rent with this company, I was given a car that had the trunk already damaged, on my way to my hotel the trunk opened, other drivers honked at me to let me know, not the best way to start. I managed to close it and continue. The second day I called no answer, not the way you want to spend your vacations, on the phone and trying to get another car that never happened. I tied a cord to keep it close. I finally talked to somebody two days before my vacations ended and told them I did not want to be blamed for that, and they told me not to worry about it.
Guess what, A week after my deposit was not returned and when I called they said that they will not give me my deposit back because I damage the Trunk!!!!!!!. What is wrong with these people, they are so dishonest, I will not recommend this company at all. Go with the ones that are in the airport, even if is more money
One more thing, I spoke to the manager today I mention that I will fill out this survey, and he said that if I do it, he will not help me in any way to get my deposit back. That is so unprofessional.
SCAM ARTISTS! Right cars is scamming people with low rates only to charge extra fee upon pick up of the vehicle such as supplemental liability insurance if you don't have 300,000 on your own insurance ( most if not all states only requires 25,000 - 50,000) so why are they asking for 300,000? to obligate you to buy theirs!. to sum it up, will never rent from them again and will do everything I can to steer as many customers away from them as I can.

This has been the worst rental experience I’ve ever had! The guy at the counter was so rude and aggressive, he tried to force me to add their insurance when I had insurance from EasyRentCars already! I then refused the car! Zero out of 5

The car was not very clean, there was some trash in side the car, spilled coffee on the back doors and the tire pressure light was on. We checked all the tires and they seemed fine.

Worst place ever to rent car. If you see it post for 8dollars a day it’s not, when you get to the counter they will charge you at least $100 extra for all the mandatory fees. The low prices is a gimmick to have customers chose them first.
