Pretty good, rented cars a few times, and Europcar was the best among them. AVIS/BUDGET had bad reviews. Europcar clearly and thoroughly explained the additional insurance options, and we could choose whether or not to include them. I made a mistake with BUDGET, not realizing they added insurance and services without my consent and signed the contract without noticing. BUDGET staff seemed intentionally misleading, but I won't go into details. If you're interested, you can message me privately. Even though this is a review for Europcar, I wanted to mention BUDGET. It made me resolve to always give BUDGET a bad review whenever possible. Honestly, I wouldn't be reviewing Europcar if it wasn't to criticize BUDGET.

In simple terms: they tried every possible way to upsell additional services! Then they tried to push higher-priced cars on us, claiming that the car we rented wasn't available. I had booked an automatic, but they gave me a manual. I specifically pointed out the scratches on the car during pickup, but during drop-off, they said there was no record of it, implying the damage was our fault. It was only when I provided the photos taken during pick-up that they waived the charge.
Picking up the car was quite complicated. First, they didn't have the car model we booked and kept pushing us to upgrade. The rental company even had a Chinese-speaking person call us to persuade us to upgrade. After we insisted on not upgrading, they initially said there were no cars and we'd have to wait 30 minutes. I agreed to wait, but then the customer service representative disappeared. After half an hour, they still hadn't returned, so we had to find another representative to finally get the keys. When we went to the parking lot to pick up the car, the attendant wasn't there either. We waited around 20 minutes without seeing anyone. Since we were in a hurry, we inspected the car ourselves and left as there were no issues.
The staff was really good and the pick up and drop process was hassle free. The cars Europecar rent is in fabulous and they always have good options that suit your requirement. Live Europecar.

It was really easy to book the car everything was in details so had no question. The app has handy details for pick up and drop. The customer service was excellent as they really responded very well to queries and also helped in case I was unable to contact Europecar. Overall it was excellent experience.
When they give the car to you they don’t check anything even if the car is damage, but when you return the car they check each and everything, thanks god I have checked before and took picture on my mobile. When I returned the car they ask me to pay for the damage and after I saw him the photo , he said ok
Europcar forced us to buy extra insurance during the rental process. Due to language barriers, it was assumed we agreed by default. This resulted in us paying over 4000 RMB more for insurance. This feels like a consumer trap and makes us question the company's integrity.
At the counter, we repeatedly reminded them that we had already purchased insurance domestically and didn't need any additional insurance. However, taking advantage of our language barrier, they still added over 500 euros worth of insurance. This is blatant insurance fraud!!! Please, Zuzuche, contact the car rental company and get us a fair resolution!!!
The car was brand new and we enjoyed the overall experience from Pick up the whole drive and drop off
