Adding an extra driver costs £10 per day, which was not stated on the website. Only found out upon arrival. No Chinese-speaking staff at the counter; there is a Chinese service on WeChat, but it takes a few hours to get a response.
This is a shameless car rental company. The store employees are negligent and do nothing, tampering with the original rental agreement. The company supports them and even asks customers to provide video and audio evidence, arbitrarily charging customers. Complaints are ineffective and lawsuits are inconvenient, resulting in significant losses.
The British are absolutely unreliable, be very cautious when renting a car! I recommend recording video and audio during car rental!
Long queues, slow pick-up and drop-off processes. It takes at least one or two hours. The staff is friendly but there are too few of them, usually just one person per task.
Staff were slow and inefficient, even when there were 20 people waiting to rent a car. They threatened to force us to buy their full insurance by saying there would be no assistance otherwise. They charged the card without explaining the amount and were unwilling to explain why they needed to pre-authorize £1250. Their attitude was very unfriendly.
Acceptable. One key reminder is that unlike renting cars in the US, here the primary driver's credit card is required for the deposit, irrespective of whose card is used for payment. We overlooked this requirement and ended up having to buy full insurance on the spot for nearly £300.
We notified the car rental company in advance about picking up the car late, but were told that there were no cars available unless we paid £15 per day for an upgrade. Even though we had already purchased full insurance through the platform, the rental company still forced us to buy additional insurance for £39 per day. Additionally, although we booked a vehicle with a full tank policy, a £95 fuel deposit was still taken. Without purchasing the additional insurance, our Visa card was not accepted; after paying £195 for the insurance, we didn't need to upgrade the car, place a deposit, and our Visa card worked fine.
After using the car for 2 days, we refueled according to the rental agreement but ended up putting in the wrong type of fuel. On February 26th, with the help of passersby, we contacted the rental company. A rescue team arrived in the afternoon but couldn't fix the car and transported us to Bath, promising to pick us up the next morning to exchange the car at a nearby airport. The next day, we waited on the streets of Bath in below-freezing temperatures until 5 PM when the rescue team finally arrived. At this point, it was too late; we had to drive to our next destination, Windsor, for 3 hours in the night, which was too much for me as a 62-year-old. We canceled the rest of our trip and, with the help of passersby and the rescue team, took a bus back to London. We request the rental company to: 1) Apologize and compensate us for the suffering; 2) Cover the following economic losses: 1. Refund the Windsor accommodation fee of ¥627.98 for the 28th; 2. Refund the £26 transportation fee (since we had already purchased return tickets for March 1st, the £26 incurred on the 28th should be covered by the rental company); 3. Refund 2/5 of the rental fee; 4. Refund the so-called upgraded insurance fee of £195; 5. Refund the corresponding fuel deposit.
Returning the car took a while, but picking it up was okay. They promised to give me a baby seat and said they'd discuss it with the manager, but I never heard back.
Like: The diesel Volvo automatic car was a dream to drive. GPS a little difficult to work out - once done it was very efficient. Dislike: Very difficult location to return vehicle - no signage out front
1. There was a discrepancy in the service, and I was overcharged by £152.01. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I have not received a refund. 2. We were told there would be a Chinese-speaking staff member to assist us with the car pickup, but when we contacted them via WeChat at 9 AM local time, they replied, 'This Chinese service number's working hours start at 8:30 AM. Sorry for not being able to assist you during your pickup time.' We had to figure it out ourselves, which was quite frustrating.
There were only three groups of customers ahead of me, but I waited for over 30 minutes. One was due to a computer error by the rental company that tried to add insurance to the customer's bill. The other two groups couldn't communicate well due to language barriers. Another reason was that selling insurance took a long time. By the time it was my turn, I had lost my patience and didn't check the terms carefully.
The car model availability was random. I wanted to rent a Ford Focus but it was always unavailable. There were very few automatic cars. I ended up with a Korean car, a SsangYong. The first one had a side door that couldn't be opened from the inside. The second one was an old, beat-up piece of junk. Finally, I got another SsangYong which was just okay.

Dislike: The shuttle bus from Heathrow T4 to car rental during pick up and drop off, took over 1 hour each way. Distance is not far but due to the multiple stops at hotels/locations, it took over 1 hour. I was nearly late for my flight.
Make sure to inspect the vehicle carefully. When returning the car, they charged over 600 pounds for a barely visible scratch on the rear bumper. Compared to big companies, their integrity is noticeably lacking.
