Pick up instructions: After you have collected your luggage, completed baggage declaration and customs procedures, please notify us immediately. You can call us or contact us in our WeChat group. Our service hotline is +6496006660 (international long distance), se1ect Chinese service by pressing 2 after connecting, then press 1 to se1ect Auckland branch, or dial 0800 660 600 (local New Zealand number). We recommend adding our customer service WeChat ID: arentalsnz. We provide free airport shuttle services from Monday to Sunday, 08:30 to 18:00. Free shuttle service is available from Monday to Sunday, 08:30 to 17:30. If you arrive at the pick-up point between 17:31 and 8:29 the next day, you will need to pay a $65 New Zealand dollars overtime service fee (including additional shuttle services). International Terminal: Turn right after customs, head towards Taxi, Rideshare & Shuttles area, located at lanes 5 or 6. *This area is the designated rental car company pick-up area at the airport. *Staff will send shuttle bus photos in the WeChat group, or inform you of the license plate number via phone. Please wait patiently for the staff to pick you up. The estimated waiting time is 10-15 minutes. Domestic Terminal: For Air NZ: After picking up your luggage at Air NZ, please walk toward the dining area in the terminal. After passing McDonald's, you will see the Jetstar counter about 50 meters away. Just exit from Gate 7 opposite the counter. For Jetstar Airlines: After picking up your luggage at Jetstar Airlines, please go to the Jetstar counter and exit from Gate 7 opposite the counter. Please wait patiently for the staff to pick you up. The estimated waiting time is 10-15 minutes.

Drop-off Instructions

Business Hours: Monday to Sunday, 08:30-18:00. Free shuttle service hours: Monday to Sunday, 08:30-17:30. If returning the car outside of free shuttle service hours, from 17:31 to 8:29 the following day, please inform the store in advance for arrangements and a NZ$65 overtime service fee will be charged (includes extra shuttle service). The return location of the Auckland store is about 8-10 minutes drive from the airport. It is recommended to return the car at least 1.5 hours before domestic flights within New Zealand and at least 2.5 hours before international flights. The car I received had an anti-theft lock, but I wasn't told how to use it during pickup. This resulted in the car getting locked on the road, and I couldn't drive it. Customer service didn't know how to resolve the issue either, leading to a two-hour waste on the road. The anti-theft lock malfunctioned several more times afterward, preventing me from driving the car.

The car is old, a 2017 model, and there are many requirements when returning the car. The contract includes various fees, and the owner, who is Chinese, specifically targets Chinese customers. You need to provide the final gas receipt for return (strictly from within 5 kilometers of the airport, which is very expensive). I mentioned in advance that I would arrive around 5:30, but I was still told that even being one minute late would result in a $65 charge for airport drop-off. They didn’t inform me how much the highway tolls would be, and five days later, they charged me an additional $25 service fee. It's full of traps.
