Queenstown: When you are ready to pick up the car, please call our service hotline at 0800 660 600 (within New Zealand) or +6496006660 (international). We highly recommend adding our customer service WeChat ID: arentalsnz. We provide airport shuttle services. Free airport shuttle hours: Monday to Sunday, 08:30-17:30. If you arrive at the pick-up point outside of the free shuttle hours, from 17:31 to 8:29 the next day, a service fee of 65 New Zealand dollars will be charged (this fee includes additional shuttle services). International/Domestic Terminals: After collecting your luggage, please proceed to the Transfers area to wait for pick-up; The Transfer area is located at the far left corner facing the terminal, outside the check-in counter. (You can find the Transfers area according to the airport guide.) Important notes: If you hold a non-English driver's license, you must provide a valid English translation document provided by a translation agency recognized by the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA). Depending on your insurance type, we will pre-authorize a deposit of 100 to 1000 New Zealand dollars on the primary driver's credit card (VISA or Mastercard only). Drop-off Instructions

- The vehicle must be returned to the store, open from Monday to Sunday, 08:30 to 18:00. Free airport shuttle service is available from Monday to Sunday, 08:30 to 17:30. If the vehicle needs to be returned outside of the free shuttle service hours, between 17:31 and 08:29 the next day, please notify the store in advance for arrangement. A NZ$65 overtime service fee will be charged (including additional shuttle service). - The return location is approximately a 5-minute drive from the airport. We recommend returning the vehicle 1.5 hours before domestic flights and 2 hours before international flights. - The office address in Queenstown is: 77 Glenda Dr, Frankton, Queenstown.

There was some trouble contacting the office to arrange for pick up, but once that was solved, the entire experience was excellent.     I rented a small two-door Toyota hybrid. I accidentally backed into something and damaged the rear bumper and trunk, and they assessed the damage at $6500. This car isn’t even worth that much! They demanded I pay $3500. Everyone please be cautious! Tianyi Car Rentals specifically targets and exploits Chinese people. The claim that 'Chinese people don't cheat Chinese people' is a lie! Even a new car like this only costs a little over $10,000! Be wary of these unscrupulous businesses.

    This rental company specifically targets Chinese customers. It's a bit far from Queenstown Airport. They first took me to their office and gave me a car that was supposedly brought from elsewhere. The car had severe wear and tear on the rear. Then the staff took me for a few rounds and told me I wasn't familiar with the roundabouts and suggested I pay NZD 40 for a 20-minute training session. When I refused, they didn't give me the car and didn't issue a refund either. Because their office is in a remote area far from the airport, and there were no taxis available, I had to pay an equivalent Uber fare of NZD 20 to get back to my hotel. When I complained to the rental platform, they couldn't resolve the issue or refund me either. Just a reminder, I've been driving for over ten years. Yet they refused to give me the car claiming I wasn't familiar with roundabouts. Being in an unfamiliar foreign place, I got scammed by this rental company.

    I recently rented a car with Arentals and received an upgrade to a Toyota Rav4, which was a nice surprise. The car was smooth and enjoyable to drive, and I didn’t experience any mechanical issues. There were a few noticeable scratches on the exterior, and the windshield wipers seemed like they needed a bit of maintenance, but otherwise, the car was in good shape. Unfortunately, my experience with the incident handling process was less positive. I reported a minor incident that I estimated should cost around $200 to resolve, yet Arentals blocked $2500 on my credit card. This felt excessive. Additionally, the claims process seems quite lengthy—they informed me it could take 2-3 weeks to complete, and they would only send me an invoice at the end. I think a faster, more transparent claims process would really enhance the customer experience. Overall, I enjoyed the car but was disappointed by the high hold and extended claim process
