We were handed the keys with no pre check condition of car and sent off to a huge car park to find it... 2 groups with 4 young children... I managed to picture all of the scratches and dents however my brother in law after 10 mins of looking was so stressed with not being able to find his car in 30+degree heat that he forgot. He was charged on return for small scratches on the car which were on a precheck sheet, he refused to admit to and was told that he needed proof or he would be fined ...I was then shown my precheck sheet which the same man said I had made extra scratches that he had no record of, fortunately I then produced the (unbeknownst to him)photos I took which showed these marks and It was painfully obvious that he was trying to con me.. I had also just witnessed an elderly lady being fined for chips of the paintwork and she had no evidence otherwise. I would have thought a precheck walk around should be standard prior to hiring any vehicle, not an inquisition when returning.. a very disappointing end to a lovely holiday . Please respond to this complaint prior to my posting on trip advisor in 48 hours.
Europcar counter folks were fine but their 24/7 emergency line was not. We called for help when a warning light came on in our Volvo. The person answering did not speak English but said someone would call us. Never got a return call. We figured out the issue but if it was more severe I can imagine a frustrating experience. Got their cell phone/WiFi rental. It was fabulous making navigation and location highlights easy. Worth the money.

All aspects were great except it would have been helpful to add the rental company on the confirmation. We made the reservation far in advance and forgot it was through Eurocar. Overall experience was great.
Everything about the car and counter staff in Florence was excellent. The europcar app was terrible , and the customer service over the phone was terrible - staff members didn’t listen, did wrong updates, didn’t send confirmation of changes, and didn’t listen.
There was an Audi A3 in the garage, but they insisted on giving me a Citroen C3. How can that be the same? Moreover, they charged €71.54 and I still don't know if I can get it back. I returned the car with a full tank of fuel.
At the counter in Florence we were told our drivers licenses weren't valid despite them clearly being valid. This discussion occurred for almost an hour before being finally allowed to take the car. Poor.
Ordered a full size car, got a 1 litre engine vehicle and that replaced the car that was faulty. Stereo was smashed and media unit not switching on. First car done nearly 100,000 miles. Do not use firefly!
The rental company staff were very polite, and the pick-up and drop-off process was relatively smooth. However, at the counter during pick-up, they tried to upsell us on personal insurance, and the final bill at drop-off included an unclear tax charge that needs further discussion.
Very very hard to find return counter at FCO. Check in process was great but return process was hell. I tried to call the support phone numbers but no answer.

Charged me more than what was committed in the reservation and have so far not provided me any means to resolve my dispute. The sales reps at the desk at pick up and drop off locations were absolutely unhelpful.
We were given the wrong address when picking up the car, which caused our group to drag our luggage around for about half an hour early in the morning. Finding the drop-off location was also difficult according to the GPS, and it was near the ZTL areas. When we finally arrived, there was no staff available, so we couldn't confirm the return information in person, which added a lot of trouble to our trip.
It was quite a thrilling experience. Our Fiat 500 was rear-ended by a large truck. Fortunately, the truck had good brakes, and it was just a minor collision; only the right tail light was damaged. The truck driver seemed a bit tired at the time but was very apologetic. He helped fill out Hertz's accident form, which was a four-part document including both parties' information, the time and place of the accident, and diagrams showing the points of impact. He also called the police, who informed him that they couldn't come and advised handling it through insurance. The car was still drivable, so I proceeded to the Hertz return point. After conducting a photo and routine check-up of the vehicle, Hertz informed me that since the accident wasn't my fault, I didn't have to provide a credit card deposit for repairs. They would handle everything directly (I had purchased full insurance from QEEQ, while Hertz's supplemental insurance at the rental site was €35 per day, which is much more expensive. The advantage of Hertz's insurance is that you don’t have to pay upfront or deal with a lot of paperwork for QEEQ insurance claims). In summary, driving has its risks—not only from one's own actions but also from accidents caused by others which are hard to avoid.
The car was delightful and lived up to expectations. There were a few scuffs and scratches that needed identifying on pick up. The car hire compound had building works going on. It was not located on airport and the shuttle bus was rather small with a big scramble for all when it turned up at either end. There should be a designated waiting line with shade provided as it was very hot and there was nothing to hide under at the rental compound.
