The staff was friendly, but they tried to sell a lot of insurance.

The car pickup process was quite complicated! When picking up the car, we followed the location on the voucher but couldn't find the car because the staff had made a mistake. After finally getting the car, we noticed multiple scratches on the body. Attempting to exchange the car was unsuccessful, and it took a lot of time to confirm the car's condition with the company. At the exit, we were stopped by security because the car didn't match the voucher, so we had to return to the counter to correct the paperwork, which took even more time. The car wasn't in great condition either; shortly after leaving, the dashboard displayed a warning sign (!). Contacting the company (they provide Chinese service, which is a good point!), remote guidance over the phone was quite challenging for us, as we're not familiar with cars. After a five-hour flight delay, we were still able to keep our reservation thanks to prior communication via Rental Car Company, which was good.

Customer service was terrible. Information provided through customer service and at the counter were conflicting. Service representative was reluctant to help and had a bad attitude.

Like: Got to drive a brand new Subaru Legacy which was a surprise. I didn’t know that Dollar had Subarus, so this was a bonus.
Dislike: Upon check in, the staff person tried to charge $10/day extra for my husband to also drive the car. This upsell was unacceptable and something I’ve never experienced at any other car rental place. Good news is, after complaining, the staff member agreed to not charge this extra fee.
