Pick-up and return was okay, there was a shuttle right outside the airport, and the counter line was short. However, they overcharged me for gas (even though I returned the car with a full tank), which took a while to resolve. At pick-up, I was informed that the booked car didn't have supplementary liability insurance, which is essential in the US as it's needed in case of an accident. QEEQ's customer service confirmed this. I recommend QEEQ to alert customers about necessary insurance upfront. I also had to buy a 5-day ezpass for tolls, but only needed it for one day on the Washington-New York route. This wasn't clearly explained by QEEQ's customer service.

“Late Horror Show”

Our overall review on the hire company during my stay was very good. I was dealt efficiently at the desk and returning the car was simple. Now I've returned to the UK my opinion has completely changed. At the desk I was asked if I required any further excess insurance but I told the agent that I already had that cover through a company in the UK. He seemed fine with that. At that point he asked me to sign the paperwork but unbeknown to me I was signing for the Excess Insurance which I had already told him was not required. At no point did he explain about the insurance so I'd been tricked into buying this cover. An obvious case of misselling but no doubt a good commission for him. The rental car fuel policy was full to full which is normal practice. He recommended that I pay for a full tank of fuel at approx $40 so that I could bring back the vehicle empty with no extra cost. That way when I came to fill up towards the end of the vacation it would be far cheaper than if I had to refill myself-another blatant lie as I filled up on a number of occasions in various parts of Florida and never cost me more than $30. Sounds like another little scam for the rental company. I wasn't of course aware of any of these issues until I returned to the UK. I'm now faced with a bill of $419.72 for Excess Insurance which I'm contesting. Unfortunately their malpractice has spoilt what was a wonderful vacation.

Advantage counter staff was great but the car had no windshield washer fluid so I had to buy my own to put in, car also smelled like someone had smoked in it which makes me nervous about getting my deposit back. Also the number to call is horrible it’s an answering machine that makes it impossible to talk to a real human.

“FUSTRATION”

i picked up my car and on way away from airport noticed that the car had just over a 1/4 tank of fuel. i called 800 number and was told to take a picture of gas gauge and send in. I did, customer service gave me a claim #117383 and said someone would call me between 24-48 hrs., if not call them back. No call, i called back and they told me to address it at a/p when I returned the car. I explained my situation and gave claim number to person at counter upon return. She said she would take care of it. Upon returning home, i checked my e-mail and I was billed full amount with no mention of my claim. To sum up my attempts to resolve the situation "It was a nightmare". Multiple phone calls over several hours, I had to resend my picture of gas gauge, The CS person had to review the claim, consult with her supervisor, etc. The "verdict"--Advantage could not refund me the money because I went through a third party(EasyRentCars)Advantage offered me a 20%discount on my next rental--worthless I am retired and not going need a rental car in next year. Ironic, I was telling my seat mate on way to airport about my issue--He said he quit renting from Advantage./
