There were quite a lot of people in line in San Francisco, I waited for nearly half an hour. Returning the car in Vegas was very quick, but the pre-authorization held my funds for almost a month.

Automatically adding 24-hour roadside assistance and not requiring refueling when picking up the car is not fair.

This company neither surprised nor disappointed me. It was the most ordinary car rental experience. No free upgrade, no unusual requirements.

I rented a car from Alamo at San Francisco Airport. It was a Dodge that had run 14,000 miles. On September 15th, the agent, who spoke broken Chinese, told me that if I paid an extra fee of a little over $3, I wouldn't need to fill the tank when returning the car. I believed him and signed. As a result, I was charged $51 when I returned the car on the 30th. Since it was just after 8 in the morning and the agents were probably not on duty yet, I didn't argue because I was in a hurry to catch my flight. Ten days after returning home, another $22.4 was deducted without any notification or reason. Always make sure to return the car with a full tank.

The company doesn’t have many branches, but the one at the airport is large and convenient. As long as you don’t return the car at a different location, it’s totally fine. The cars are new and the process is simple.

Good service and acceptable car model, though a Mustang would have been even better.

Everything went relatively smoothly. However, I don't understand why they charged me over $150 for fuel when picking up the car...? They told me I could return the car with an empty tank… but a full tank of gas costs only around $40! This is practically extortion! I strongly demand an explanation and a refund!

The ALAMO store at San Francisco Airport was easy to find. Showing the printed order, translation document, driving license, and credit card allowed us to complete the process quickly. The staff recommended insurance for $5 per day, which covered glass damage, so we bought it. We took the order form to the parking lot, chose a white Mustang, and the key was inside the car. We started the car and drove off. Someone at the exit checked the order. It was very simple. Returning the car was also very straightforward. It was easy to find near Los Angeles Airport. The staff scanned the car's barcode and issued a receipt with a handheld device, which concluded the process efficiently.

There were many people at the counter when I picked up the car. I tried to use the self-service option, but it failed. Later, the counter staff told me that international rentals can only be processed at the counter, which caused a longer wait time, but overall it was okay.

There was a long queue, and we had to wait 100 minutes to get the car, though our order clearly mentioned the pickup time. They eventually gave us a free tank of gas as compensation. During the wait, we noticed staff members letting others cut in line.

Taking the blue line from San Francisco airport directly to the car rental point was convenient and fast. As soon as we arrived at the car pickup location, we experienced the warmth and simplicity of the American people. It was truly a pleasant experience! If we need to rent a car abroad in the future, Alamo is a great choice!
