Overcharged me

WE ARE SO HAPPY WITH OUR FIRST RENTAL IN EUROPE

EASY PROCESS AND NO PROBLEM DURING THE WHOLE PROCESS

The car rental company staff were friendly and responsive.

Alamo staff was dumb and non competent. We spent 2 hours in the airport with 3 Kids under 6-years old at 9pm. Awful. We hate Alamo.

Tried to upsell additional insurance at the counter with some pressure tactic-not nice! Also tried to upsell to a larger vehicle-not recommended if you’re not used to the narrow European city roads.

Car was ready and fully cleaned. When dropped off and collected staff helped with suitcases etc

i made a mistake when i booked online to indicate a pickup time and it reverted to 12 noon,i arrived there at 845 and when he noticed the mistake he told me he had no cars to give me ,except a top of the line with all bells and whistles for only 10.00euro more a day for 8 day's when i explained to him that the 2 times before i rented from then it did not pose a problem his answer was THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM and than told me further that the car i had reserved would be available in about 3 hours and could wait in the public seating in front of their office ,i sat there for 2 hours WAS NOT IMPRESSED

Very convenient, you can push the luggage cart over the overpass and follow the signs directly to the parking lot.

The store is easy to find, not far from the airport exit. The procedures are simple and fast, it was done in no time.

Why is it mandatory to write a comment?

Like: The friendly and cooperative staff
Dislike: The waiting time when pick-up

Quick rental and return process

Easy check-in, easy check-out. No hassle at all. Very friendly staff which made the experience even better and the most friendly and welcoming of all was Ramanda Kajtazović at check-in. Did rentals with Avis and Goldcar previous times I was in Amsterdam, but this was easily the best experience by far!

Simply the best agent for rentals.

Only issue with car was that cleanser used prior to our rental was pretty strong and bothered my wife who is sensitive to strong smells.

The car seat we reserved for our 7mo, did not meet our expectations. The thin foam padding was scarce, and had holes in from wear an tear- so it looked worn out; the construction frame of it wasa thin plastic shell, (to be secured to the car by the seatbelt) however, the entire chair moved freely with one hand - so we were petrified for any sharp corners taken with baby inside/ let alone a collision. I understand that the staff won't fit the product for insurance reasons- however, this didn;t fill us with any confidence as they threw it on the ground at my feet and said "you must read the instructions on the sticker and fit" despite me never fitting this type before. The seat itself was really hard, and uncomfortable for my baby; which resulted in cutting our holiday in half- and not driving around Holland as planned, due to her crying after no more than 10mins. I will never reserve a car seat again due to this completely terrible experience. The car was fine.

The receptionist was enthusiastic and patient, handling everything efficiently and making the process smooth for someone with limited English skills like myself.

Excellent customer service with car inspected with you when you collect and again when you return. Very helpful and friendly.

The staff member in charge of the rental was very polite, but it took quite a long time—nearly two hours for two cars. Since we rented a new car, we trusted that a quick check for damages was sufficient before taking the car. However, the staff did not provide a brief explanation of how to operate the car or any important notes (like the type of fuel to use). Later, when loading our luggage, we realized the back seat could not accommodate our bags. We had to go back to the rental company where another staff member helped us adjust the trunk's bottom panel to fit our luggage, but this delayed our schedule for the day. As it was a new car, we were very careful during our trip and encountered no accidents or collisions. However, during the return inspection, the staff pointed out minor scuffs on the right rear wheel rim, though the tire itself was fine. This was an area we had not thoroughly inspected at pickup. We tried explaining we had been very cautious and had not encountered any incidents, but the staff insisted it was a new car and that his job was merely to inspect. He eventually gave us a form to write down any complaints. We've definitely learned a lesson; perhaps local practices vary. Next time, we'll inspect the car more thoroughly, document everything with photos, and be more selective about the rental company.
