I rented a Honda City sedan but was given a two-door Jazz. I called to inquire and was told they are of the same class, which resulted in insufficient trunk space and a change in travel plans!
Like: Staff was very polite and helpful Dislike: Firstly they said the email name in the booking was incorrect which I found odd when it matched. Secondly I booked a Honda city but was offered a Honda Jazz. When I insisted for a similar size car, they said jazz was a 1.5L which is similar to city 1.5L. But I insisted that I needed the car size to be similar due to luggage and stroller storage space needed. After some discussion, they finally agreed to change. Thankfully I insisted if not I would have been stuck with a Jazz with 3 bags and a stroller which would be impossible to fit in the trunk. Also the tinting was very dark and heavy - but this seems to be the norm in Thailand
Lastly when I dropped off the car, the staff forgot to gave me a copy of the declaration form and I waited 20-30 mins at the counter as the staff was parking the car. But still overall I am satisfied
Very convenient as it is right outside Bangkok Don Mueang Airport Terminal 2, but the staff here aren't as friendly as those in Chiang Mai and Pattaya.
The location is easy to find, the procedure is simple and fast, and the car is very new, having only run a little over 10,000 kilometers. The only downside is that the insurance deductible is a bit high, starting at 5000 baht.
The platform provided by Zuzuche is excellent, but when picking up the car from Chic Rent Car, we encountered some trouble due to communication issues. We had already purchased super insurance from Zuzuche, but Chic Rent Car insisted we buy additional insurance. This caused a two-hour delay. Eventually, by contacting Zuzuche’s Chinese pickup guide, who spoke briefly with Chic Rent Car in Thai over the phone, Chic Rent Car agreed that additional insurance was unnecessary. We hope Zuzuche can communicate better with the car rental companies in advance. If the insurance has already been purchased while placing the order, the car rental company should be aware of it to avoid unnecessary hassle during pickup. Kudos to Zuzuche's Chinese guide for resolving the issue! Additionally, Chic Rent Car deducted a 5000 THB deposit from my credit card, which is shown as a consumption. I hope they can refund the deposit soon! It was a pleasant surprise that Chic Rent Car upgraded my reserved Honda to a BRV, and the car had only 83 kilometers on it and came with sun protection film, which was a thoughtful touch not commonly provided by many domestic rental companies. Thumbs up to Chic Rent Car for their attentive service!
When picking up the car, they only reminded me to check the paint and not the tires, which were not covered by insurance. When I returned the car, I found one tire damaged and was charged a fee of 3500B. It was a terrible experience.
The counter is right at the airport, visible as soon as you pass through customs. Car pickup is in the terminal, which is very convenient. Completed the paperwork at the counter in 5 minutes, car inspection in 2 minutes, and on the highway heading to the tourist spot within 10 minutes.
