CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON EUROPCAR AT CHRISTCHURCH AIRPORT, CHC

We never had this car. They were sold out and we had to wait more than an hours to finally get the smallest car in the parking lot.

There was only one person, no inquiry about insurance, but it was quite good.

They tried to charge me another full day because I picked the car up half an hour early. What rubbish!! I didn't get a refund when I returned it 1.5 hours early.

All good as usual :)

Car is relatively new and in good condition. Tyres were in good condition too, which is important due to the long drive.

pricing was a little confusing. but the price check works. should have helped saved a little; assuming I get pass the line items for the charges.

Counter staff was very efficient but handling all the people waiting for their cars with no assistance was clearly not easy.

I rented a 12-seat Toyota Hiace but was given a Hyundai iMax instead, which was very cramped and made for a poor experience. The rental cost for the Toyota Hiace was about 12,000 yuan, while the Hyundai iMax cost around 5,000 yuan, a difference of approximately 6,500 to 7,000 yuan. It felt like a rip-off. My complaint didn't result in any reasonable compensation. It was a very unsatisfactory rental experience.

Counter staff was very helpful and friendly. Car was fun to drive. Loved the backup camera.

Europcar Queenstown 034425887 Georgie (Europcar Christchurch airport) who helped us when we collected the car from Christchurch was awesome. She was so friendly and helpful. She allocated a brand new KIA Carnival for us (mileage was only 20 Km) which was a wonderful surprise. The car was so spacious and had all of the safety features that you expect from 2022 model. The ride was so smooth and comfortable for 6 people. I was so reluctant to return it at the end of our trip

Easy booking process. They were so helpful when I had to cancel the booking with one rental company and made a new booking with another rental company.

車を貸し出すのはスムーズで早かった。傷の点検などは一切なし、サインだけすれば終わり。車は最初の車は綺麗で良かったが北島で借りた車は最初、外観は泥だらけで汚く少し狭い車。返し終わったらタイヤのホイールに我々の身に覚えのない傷がついてたとメールが来て追加請求あり。最初から汚い車だったので本当に自分たちがつけたのかも怪しい。車の中に忘れ物を確実にしたため見つけたら取りに行くから連絡をくれと言ったが結局連絡は来ない。最悪でした、2度と使いません。

I would like to share a constructive feedbacks as follows: 1. Counter check in staff The counter staff were awesome and nice, they informed us in advance that they're new, they did their best to follow all the written instructions to help with the pick up process. Behind us there were 3 other customers. But shame for Europcar, they should have some senior staff to assist the new staff to avoid long queue and complaints. 2. Full tank for the new renter Make sure to check the fuel meter when the previous renter return the car to make sure it's full tank. I I picked the car up with millage at 3679km (pic.#1) , just realized when I was travelling at 3772km - mileage left to travel 765km (pic.#2), it was just 3km away from airport that the fuel meter showed only 15 bars (full tank is 16 bars). For the clear details at 3777km when I pulled over to take another photo (pic.#3). I didn't bother to return to the counter to complaint as I had an appointment that I was late because of the long process. In the middle of the trip, I refuelled and it showed 16 bars on the fuel meter and millage left to travel 926km (pic.#4). From this only, I felt cheated as if only I took the vehicle full tank, I would have travelled another 161km. Another clear information (pic.#5) when I refuelled again at the Z-petrol station by Frankton Road in Queenstown before return the vehicle at Queenstown airport which only 2.5km away. Again, millage left to travel still 957km and not 765km as when I picked up. Thank you.

Incorrect charges! Credit card charges were made without the cardholder's consent! They promised that the insurance would cover everything, but we didn't actually encounter any accidents or issues! It's a scam! And we still haven't received a detailed breakdown of the charges!

The wait time at the counter was extremely long, and the staff were inefficient.

Be great go have Key-Drop in the carpark.

The efficiency is too low, it took more than half an hour to pick up a car.

There was no one at the front desk, and calling only led to voicemail. We waited for an hour and still no one showed up. Finally, the staff were located with the help of the customer service from the rental company.

It was too slow, only one staff member, and I had to wait in line for 2 whole hours! The efficiency was really low. They gave me three cars, all of which were compact cars, not mid-size SUVs like the Pajero Sport.
