CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON HERTZ AT MELBOURNE AIRPORT, MEL

Complaint about the Chinese female clerk at Melbourne Airport branch on December 26th around 6-7 pm! The child seat was clearly reserved through the Car Rental platform, but upon arrival at the store, they said it wasn't reserved. It was already past 7 pm, and we had to drive out to buy one. Additionally, she did not inform me to inspect the car condition beforehand, nor did she allow me to check it myself before signing the rental agreement. As a result, I signed the order without seeing the car, and did not notice the pre-existing scratch on the right side of the car's front. Because we were in a hurry to buy a safety seat, there was no time to take photos of the car, which caused the store to blame me for the scratch on the left side of the car when returning it. Moreover, due to the New Year’s Eve event on December 31st, I called in the morning to say I would return the car in the evening, but I wasn't informed about the road closures. This led to a futile trip to return the car, and I had to pay an extra day's rental to return it the next day. Extremely dissatisfied with Hertz's overall service attitude!

Pick-up at the airport and drop-off in the city center was easier than expected. The return process was quick as well, just drove into the parking lot. The car was in good condition, and with full insurance, we had peace of mind while driving.

We booked a Toyota Highlander, but HERTZ gave us a Hyundai Tucson. The rental prices for these two cars are very different.

Arrived half an hour early and still completed the car rental process easily and quickly. They didn’t have the 5-seater Highlander I reserved but upgraded me to a 7-seater for free after some discussion. My reservation included Max Cover, and later I scratched the side of the car in an underground parking lot. When returning the car, the staff just checked it and assured me that with Max Cover, I wouldn't have to pay anything. This kind of service and insurance truly provides peace of mind. When renting in Australia, I only trust Hertz!

A variety of car models available, and the car condition was good. The pickup process was quick, and the return process was even faster. It only took about two minutes to park and complete the return, which was excellent! However, I'm not sure when the $100 deposit will be refunded.

We booked a Camry, but had to choose based on what was available. They tried to give us a lower-quality SUV. Eventually, they gave us a Mitsubishi SUV.

The process was quick, but I had to wait a long time to pick up the car. They didn't require me to return it with a full tank.

When picking up the car, I was told that there were no Corolla hatchbacks available, and I was given a Kia Cerato instead. However, when I went to the parking lot with the key, I saw several Corolla hatchbacks that I had booked on the ZUZUCHE website. When I asked the Hertz staff to switch, I was told those Corollas were all reserved. Are customers booking through the ZUZUCHE website treated differently than those booking directly with Hertz? I don't want to rent a car this way again!

The car pickup process was simple, with no sales pitches. Reliable.

The car I initially wanted was unavailable, so the replacement was smaller. I had to pay more for a bigger one. There were few staff members and lots of issues, so it took me nearly half an hour to complete everything.

Very close to the airport, just across the road, very convenient.

Both the rental and return processes were very straightforward. If the reserved car is temporarily unavailable, they offer a free upgrade to a higher-level car.

The car was not provided with a full tank, and even though they acknowledged this when I returned the car, the process was extremely slow. I waited for half an hour and was then told to resolve it with the agency. It took two compensations to settle the fuel charge.

The queue was long and the processing was quite slow.
