The staff at the car rental gave us a free upgrade to a car with navigation, set it up for us, and even taught us how to get to Provence. The rental office is outside the airport, and the signs are not very visible, so we had to ask a few people to find it.
The rental company did not inform us about the scratches on the car. We discovered them ourselves and reported it. Next time, we need to be more careful.
I went at 5 PM, and there were hardly any people in the store. The paperwork was processed quickly. I got a Renault, which uses diesel fuel, very economical. Highly recommended.
There were an unusually high number of people renting cars at the airport. Even with 5 or 6 windows open, I still waited for over half an hour. However, the service staff were very thorough and enthusiastic. I received a Renault, which had much more space than a Golf. The car was also very new, with less than 1000 kilometers on it. Very good.
When we arrived at the store, our reserved car was no longer available. There were only two cars left, an Audi and a Volvo. They gave us the Audi, and later, when returning the car, they tried to charge us for a vehicle upgrade, which we refused to pay. When picking up the car, the staff told us that returning the car with less fuel would be calculated accordingly. However, when we returned the car with two bars less, we found out that if the tank is not full, they charge for a whole tank... This resulted in over 1000 RMB extra.
The store was good. Initially, I was told that my reservation was canceled. I immediately contacted QEEQ, and after QEEQ staff communicated directly with the local clerk over the phone, I was able to rent the car smoothly.
When picking up the car, a male staff member repeatedly insisted on buying insurance, otherwise, he said there would be issues. He was very unfriendly, but I insisted on not buying it. When returning the car, a female staff member was smiling and provided normal service. There was no car inspection, I simply handed back the keys and showed the fuel receipt. The final price matched the booking price. Due to schedule delays, I picked up the car a day late. The manual car I requested was no longer available; instead, I got a very small car in poor condition, but it didn't have any problems.
