Renting and returning the car at Salzburg Airport was very smooth. When returning, the staff just asked a few questions and didn't even inspect the car, showing great trust in customers. Highly recommend!
I booked a Mercedes, but was given a Hyundai i30 at pickup, and they insisted they are in the same group, like BMW... How can Mercedes and Hyundai be considered the same tier? Why doesn't the website specify Hyundai when booking, but give a Mercedes at pickup? After a lot of back-and-forth discussion, they finally gave me a Citroen. However, the car's condition was decent and fairly new.
The service was very poor. Despite agreeing on no additional insurance, they added it. They also forced an upgrade on the vehicle, claiming that my reserved model was unavailable. This resulted in an extra expense of over 200 euros.
The service was terrible! The car broke down halfway, and they asked the customer to contact the car supplier on their own. They didn't provide a replacement vehicle and asked the customer to take a taxi back from 70km away from the destination. The rental company would cover the taxi fare, but it had to be done before they closed, otherwise, they would be off duty! They even said they reserved the right to hold the customer responsible after the vehicle inspection report is out!? Unbelievable. Especially since I already pointed out that the clutch felt off when I picked up the car. Still, they said they would wait for the inspection report before making any decisions. Also, the car provided was not the model I originally rented; it had a lower chassis. When driving in heavy snow, its passability was terrible!
The process was very fast. I just filled out a deposit form for 1000 Euros, checked the car's condition myself, and drove off if there were no issues. Returning the car was also very quick. I was waiting for a bus at the opposite side of the street when the deposit was refunded.
The front desk staff were friendly but understaffed, leading to a long wait when picking up the car. The GPS was difficult to use as it was in English despite our reservation for a Chinese one. The GPS wasn't updated, which delayed our departure by 40 minutes. When returning the car, the GPS malfunctioned, so we had to take a taxi back to the drop-off point, arriving at 3:20 PM. By the time we arrived, the office was closed. Luckily, we encountered someone who instructed us to leave the keys, documents, and fuel receipt in a metal box. The car had no damages. In the morning, we were charged 1000 euros as a deposit on our credit card. When will this amount be refunded in full?
Rented the car near Salzburg train station and returned it near the University of Vienna. The return location was hard to find, and finding a gas station was even more difficult. However, they required the tank to be filled up upon return, and you couldn't just pay for the fuel.
The staff did not accompany me to pick up the car. I had to search for a long time in the parking lot and couldn't inspect the car. They gave me a car with scratches. Let's see how much they end up charging me!
Right next to the gas station, convenient for refueling when returning the car. However, the car's condition was poor. Despite only having 50,000 kilometers, it lacked power. Even in third gear with the pedal to the floor, it only reached 80 km/h on an incline. I was really worried it might not make it up.
The staff was very friendly, but they didn't clean the snow off the car in advance when handing it over. The handover was late, and they only did a hasty cleaning later.
The attitude was outrageously poor. I booked a Mercedes but they gave me a Hyundai, insisting it was the same class of car. When I argued, they said either take it or cancel the order and rent from another company. Ridiculous...
After returning the car, I went to the office for a receipt. They promised to send it by email but never did.
Pick-up was very quick, but the drop-off location was hard to find since it was in an underground parking lot. They didn’t even check the car when returning it; they just asked for the keys. Twenty days later, the fuel deposit was unfrozen. Overall, the rental experience was smooth.
