We booked a Dodge-type vehicle but got a Hyundai MPV instead. The car was equally spacious, accommodating 4 people and 5 suitcases. When we found out the trunk couldn't fit all the luggage, we folded down the third row, which created plenty of space. During the trip, there was a small incident where we missed booking an extra room for one night. We realized the trunk area was large enough for one person to sleep. Listening to the rain and train at night, I had a particularly good sleep. The car was new, only driven for 4000 miles, just past the break-in period, with strong power. No issues arose during the trip.

Shocking treatment from their call centre. Had to take car back despite a hurricane. They refused to help despite state of emergency issued by president trump for Louisiana. The airport was closed, there was no public transportation, no taxis, no uber or lyft. The thrifty office was open so we were forced to return the car, driving in dangerous conditions with no means of getting back to the city. Thrifty call centre refused to transfer me to branch and insisted on the car being returned or they would charge: never again!

They charged me a higher rate than I agreed to through easyrentcars. When I showed them my prenegotiated rate, they said they would only match it if I could show them a daily rate in my confirmation, which it did not have. It only had a total rate. When I got the car, I noticed that they had not cleaned out snacks left by the previous renters. Finally, after driving off the lot, I noticed damage to the underside of the passenger rear view mirror, which was covered with electrical tape, which blended in well with the car’s black paint. I told Thrifty about this damage, but they wouldn’t tell me if it was pre-existing damage they knew about, or if I needed to do anything to document it. Now I’m worried they will try to charge me for it.

Your service worked great, except for Thrifty changing their price on me at the counter.
