If you have purchased QEEQ's full insurance, definitely avoid buying local insurance. You can also refer to the vehicle inspection checklist in the pictures.
They threatened us with exorbitant charges, stating that even minor paint damage could cost up to 500 euros. They claimed the insurance from the car rental platform couldn't cover it and pushed us to buy their own full insurance for several hundred euros.
1. The pickup time is rigid; if they say you have to pick up at a certain time, you must pick up at that time. Because it's hard to predict the arrival time of international flights into Zagreb, we checked a lot of information online and planned to pick up the car within an hour of arrival, based on the actual flight and customs clearance time. The staff insisted we wait for an hour. Even though we explained the flight and immigration issues, they didn't understand and instead demanded that we coordinate with their working hours. 2. The car pickup process was slow; there were only two counters, and only one was open. The European customers behind us were not in a hurry, which I guess is normal.

Since it's hard to predict the international flight arrival time in Zagreb, we planned to pick up the car within an hour after arrival based on flight and customs information. However, the staff made us wait an extra hour, and they were rather inflexible despite us explaining the flight and immigration issues. They insisted we adjust to their schedule. 2. The car pickup process was slow with only one of the two available counters open, which seems to be a common occurrence as the other European customers weren’t in a hurry.

The car rental process was also slow. Despite two counters, only one was open. European customers behind us seemed unperturbed, indicating this might be a norm.
The staff at the pickup location had a good attitude. However, at the drop-off location at the airport, there was no one to attend to us. We waited for over twenty minutes until a rude woman showed up. We complained that the address was incorrect, but she said it wasn't their responsibility. She tried to evade responsibility and even threatened to call airport security.
The overall service was good. Since I was staying in Zagreb for a layover before flying back home the next day, I opted to rent a manual car for just one day for convenience. The rental company provided a car that had not been repaired after an accident, and the right door was scraped and deformed. However, both the pick-up and drop-off processes went smoothly. Kudos to the rental staff! Driving a manual car does require practice; I stalled in the city center of Zagreb and got honked at by a taxi behind me.
Very satisfied with the rental company. It is a local company in Croatia with no upselling or extra charges. I only paid the deposit with a credit card on the day I picked up the car. During the inspection in the parking lot, I found two small paint chips and a noise from the rear wiper, all of which were documented. Due to a change in our itinerary, we returned the car a day early without informing the company. We arrived at 1:00 PM on a holiday when the company had closed at 12:00 PM. We contacted the staff by phone who instructed us to leave the car in the company's parking lot and hand the keys and documents to the security guard. We couldn't inspect the car in person, which made me a bit concerned. After calling QEEQ customer service, they guided me through a series of photos that reassured me. Two days later, I received a text message stating that the vehicle inspection was successful. Perfect.
1. There were too few staff for car pickup. They were too busy to attend to customers. Basic car conditions (like the triangle warning sign, tools, spare tire, control, mileage, fuel gauge, etc.) were not explained or introduced. Other scratches and even tire cracks pointed out were not recorded either. Overall, it felt like they had no time for service, and they just wanted you to drive away quickly. There was no sign of nine-point service level and quality.
2. They charged a 100 Euros cross-border insurance despite knowing a newly constructed bridge made it unnecessary to cross borders. Being able to easily find the bridge myself as a non-local, I found this service provider disgusting.
3. During car return, the inspection was very thorough, but they did not issue a receipt immediately after confirming there were no issues (said they would send it via email a week later).
This service provider does not deserve a 9-point rating. Future customers should be cautious.
Upon a friend's recommendation, I tried using the Zuzuche platform for overseas car rental for the first time and had a distressing experience. We arrived at the pick-up location on time, only to wait for an hour and a half, and were given a car in terrible condition, with extremely old interior, dirty seats, and a filthy steering wheel. It was a manual transmission vehicle, more like a farm vehicle, and likely pulled from temporary inventory by the rental company. This was nothing like the Mercedes V-Class or similar car we had reserved. The staff indicated this was the only available car. After waiting for an hour and a half, we reluctantly accepted it to avoid affecting our subsequent plans. Having not driven a manual for over twenty years, it was quite challenging, and there were several dangerous moments in city traffic. Moreover, Zuzuche provided completely incorrect return instructions and phone number for the location, making us search for over an hour. Fortunately, the hotel front desk staff helped contact the rental company, but it wasted half a day. The entire experience, from pick-up to car condition to drop-off, was painful. This was the worst car rental I've had abroad, affecting my driving experience and delaying my plans. Additionally, when submitting an evaluation, I had to select a car model to proceed. Since the car I used wasn't listed, I could only choose a small Volkswagen, which does not reflect the actual car I used.
Based on a friend's recommendation, I used the Zuzuche platform to rent a car abroad for the first time and had an awful experience. We arrived at the store on time to pick up the car, but ended up waiting an hour and a half. We were then given a car in terrible condition - the interior was old, the seats and steering wheel were filthy, and it was a manual transmission. It felt more like a farm vehicle, and it was likely a last-minute substitution from the rental company, which was nothing like the Mercedes V-class or similar model we had reserved. The staff said this was the only car available. We reluctantly accepted it after waiting so long to avoid delaying our trip further. I hadn't driven a manual for over 20 years and struggled with it, facing frequent dangerous situations in city traffic. To make matters worse, the return location and phone number provided by Zuzuche were completely wrong, leaving us searching for over an hour. Eventually, the hotel front desk helped us contact the rental company, which wasted half a day. From pickup to the car model to return, it was a terrible experience. This was the worst car rental experience I’ve had abroad, affecting my self-driving experience and delaying my trip. Note: I had to select a car model to submit this review, but there was no option for the actual car I used, so I selected a Volkswagen, which doesn't match what I rented.
The car's condition was good, but the process of picking up the car was extremely slow. It took two hours before I got the car, and they insisted on waiting until our scheduled time to start the procedures.
Pickup and drop-off were very quick! The staff was professional. They offered the usual additional services during pickup, but when we said we didn't need them, they didn't push further.
