Secondly I booked a Honda city but was offered a Honda Jazz. When I insisted for a similar size car, they said jazz was a 1.5L which is similar to city 1.5L. But I insisted that I needed the car size to be similar due to luggage and stroller storage space needed. After some discussion, they finally agreed to change. Thankfully I insisted if not I would have been stuck with a Jazz with 3 bags and a stroller which would be impossible to fit in the trunk. Also the tinting was very dark and heavy - but this seems to be the norm in Thailand
Lastly when I dropped off the car, the staff forgot to gave me a copy of the declaration form and I waited 20-30 mins at the counter as the staff was parking the car. But still overall I am satisfied
Like: Very friendly staff, car was in new condition Dislike: We had to go past security on the domestic airport, while I didn't arrive there, with luggage & kids etc, should have been outside security. The car itself: Honda BRV didn't have much power when taking over, or going up a hill with just kids in the back.
I rented a car from this company. When I picked up the car, they didn't allow me to inspect it before signing. The car had already driven 100,000 kilometers, and the seats and interiors were dirty and worn out. What's worse, the brake pads were dangerously thin, and braking caused a loud screech. The main issue came when I returned the car. Despite driving very carefully and holding a local license, the staff used a flashlight to find a tiny cut on the front left tire and demanded 5000 for it. I argued that if I had caused it, how come there were no other scratches or damages? They insisted it was part of the policy to charge 5000. I suggested that maybe their initial inspection missed it because the cut was so tiny it was barely visible. When they showed the car inspection report from the pickup, it indicated scratches on three of the four tires, except for this one. I didn't buy full insurance, so they insisted on the payment. This appeared either as careless inspection by Thai staff or a deliberate scam since they knew I didn't have full coverage. They deducted the money from my deposit. I refused to accept this unfair charge and demanded compensation.
Except for the language barrier, everything else was fine. The staff turned on the air conditioning before the inspection upon car return, and when returning the car, staff were already waiting in the parking lot and escorted us to the departure hall. Much more convenient than expected.
The queue time was not long, but taking the car took quite some time. Additionally, the credit card machine had issues. We had to try three or four different credit cards before realizing it was their machine's problem. Then we had to wait for another machine, which took nearly an hour.
Booked to pick up the car at 14:00 during the day, but didn't get it until 18:00. Booked a pick-up in the city center, but they made me go to the airport instead. Ridiculous, right?
Like: Excellent service and flexibility
Had a last minute changes to return car at BKK instead of DMK, and no extra charges is needed. Was late for check in and staff was waiting at arrival for me to hand over the vehicle before I rush to check. Highly recommended.
