CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON DOLLAR IN LOS ANGELES

The terms and regulations are very clear, didn't let me choose the car.

Great service, fast and efficient

It took over two hours to queue up for the car after completing the paperwork. The first time, the staff even gave us the wrong car, but luckily the guard stopped us. The most unsatisfactory part was the fees: toll service fees and roadside assistance fees added up to over 300 dollars. Actually, rentalcars.com already provided roadside assistance insurance, dollar rental is just being a rip-off!

The queue is understandable, but I paid for Chinese service which was not actually provided. There was a dispute when returning the car as they tried to charge for excess mileage (though the order stated unlimited mileage) and for the GPS device (which was barely functional). I strongly requested Chinese service, but the staff said no one could speak Chinese. After difficult negotiations, they agreed not to charge the above fees, but I still have not received a refund of over 200 dollars!

About half an hour, not bad

Dislike: At first I was a Hyundai car park and when I arrived I paid an increase of the Camaro for about $ 1200 and then the car was convoluted because of its small size and I booked a Jeep Wrangler and paid $ 900, the total payment was $ 2100! Knowing that the reservation of the Camaro was canceled but the money was not returned in my account

Even after clearly stating that no additional charges were needed, the rental company still added extra fees.

Satisfied

Terrible service. Even after making it clear that I did not want any extras, they added roadside assistance without informing me. There were no fee notifications on the signature pad, which is very deceptive.

Like: The help was great
Dislike: The first car I was offered wasin such bad maintenance status that I was turned around at the gate. The next vehicle was great but I skulls have been able to choose it initially. The first vehicle, which was terrible, was the only vehicle available and there was no offered upgrade or anything until it failed the maintenance cycle which costs me more time that I didn't have.

Short waiting time in line, but the shuttle bus was rather slow.

Like: Overall service was great.

Acceptable

Like: Shuttle drivers were very nice, so were the counter staff. Drop off staff friendly as well! Car was great, all options and having sat radio was a plus.
Dislike: Only problem encountered was the drive to and from. Much of it due to LAX. It can take a long time to drive through especially if you get picked up at the first gates. Drive back was a little slow too due to the fact we picked up many arriving rental customers (filled the bus) along the way. Not the drivers fault, but is time consuming.
