There is no counter at T2, it was a bit hard to find the parking lot in Kuala Lumpur as it was my first time there and no one answered the phone. Eventually, I contacted the rental company for assistance.
Overall, we were quite satisfied with the process from car pick-up to usage, with minimal contact with the rental company. During the rental period, a few issues arose. Although the QEEQ platform contacted us promptly and tried to resolve them, many problems were still directly resolved by us with the rental company. The QEEQ app didn't contribute significantly to problem resolution. Additionally, the vehicle information displayed on the app was not comprehensive. Details like the size and other aspects of the vehicle, although it indicated it could seat 7 people, lacked a detailed description of the overall size, interior space, and vehicle power.
Among all my rental experiences, this guy was the most meticulous. He explained everything step by step. He was so thorough that it took me a full 20 minutes to get the car.
Extremely poor experience. I had to rewrite my review twice because my call wasn't answered on time. I decided to share my experience to help others avoid this. I specifically chose this globally top-ranked rental company, which was more expensive, expecting better service. However, the local service was terrible. I selected an option for two drivers, but when I arrived, they said it wasn't allowed unless I paid extra. Despite the clear information on both the e-voucher and printed voucher, they insisted on calling the boss, which required me to call the rental platform numerous times. Since the rental point was in an underground parking lot with poor wifi signal, I had to make international calls that kept dropping. After several attempts, the rental platform advised me to let the local staff talk, but she refused as she was attending another customer. I had to wait for over ten minutes and make another international call. She still didn’t take the call but suddenly said two drivers were allowed. Ridiculous! The car they provided was much worse than what was stated in the contract, with scratches all over it. It felt like they gave me a damaged car because I had full insurance.
Overall service was fairly smooth! When we first found the store, the staff might have gone out for lunch, and it took two phone calls and about 20 minutes of waiting for them to return. Perhaps because we had waited for a while, the staff felt apologetic and proactively upgraded my car to a Honda CRV at no extra cost. I was quite pleased with this upgrade! The subsequent service process and communication went smoothly.
When I picked up the car, I recorded a detailed video of the car's exterior with my phone to have a reference when returning it. However, despite my thorough inspection, the staff found scrapes on the bottom of the front bumper during the return inspection (which could only be seen by lying on the ground). I hadn't thought to check the undercarriage when picking up the car, so I had to accept it. Fortunately, I had purchased the most comprehensive insurance plan, so I didn't argue with the staff. My advice for future renters is to always buy the most comprehensive insurance because you really can't inspect the undercarriage without lying under the car!
1. Since their store was closed, we had to wait for their staff to come for both pick-up and return, which was very inconvenient. 2. The rented car was in poor condition; it broke down on the first day, with smoke coming from the hood. We waited for road assistance for an hour. 3. They tricked us into renting their ETC, claiming we couldn't use the highway without it, which cost 50. The extra money in it wasn't refunded and seemed to go to them! This feels like a scam company! A scam company! A scam company! I strongly advise everyone not to rent from them! If you need to contact customer service, you have to wait for half a day for a response!
Before renting, I repeatedly asked whether I could return the car at T1, but never got a direct answer. When returning the car, I realized I had left my phone behind and asked the staff for help, but they were uncooperative and had a cold attitude, which made me suspicious. I won't choose Europcar in Malaysia again.
