1. Significant discrepancy in order amounts: The amounts on the car rental site, the pickup invoice, and the post-swap invoice were completely different! At pickup, the staff gave me three different amounts! The last one was close to the amount shown by the rental site. 2. Overcharging: I noticed that the pre-authorization charge was significantly higher than the actual amount, so I verified multiple times with the car rental company. Finally, they told me the extra money would be refunded as a pre-authorization, but in reality, only €850 was refunded, and the rest was not returned! 3. Large unexplained charges: On October 19th, when I swapped the car, I was directly charged two amounts of $1271.39 each, totaling over $2500! I am currently communicating with the car rental company to find out why. 4. Confusion at pickup, meticulous at dropoff: During pickup, the staff asked me to inspect the car myself. After a round of inspection, I found discrepancies with the reported issues, such as a dent in the left door that didn't actually exist. When I asked a staff member to check, he was reluctant but eventually admitted it was an error. The dropoff was even more ridiculous; the staff circled the car multiple times and pointed out a tiny dent on the left door that I couldn't see even with glasses. They said it could be from someone else hitting my door. I was speechless!

Got an upgrade from a VW Golf to a Mercedes C Class. Very pleased and satisfied with the service.

We have initial hiccup as we realize that our luggages are not able to fit into the Volkswagen touran and subsequently chosen to upgraded to a bigger car Volkswagen sharan with a reasonable additional fee. the staff of europcar is helpful. Thanks

Incorrect return instructions

Very helpful staff put us on the road very fast, our car was great for all 22 days traveling in Europe. The car return was smooth! Great price, great people, great location -recommending to everyone who needs a small and reliable car!

We booked the car to start rental at 9am, we were there at around 8:35 to prevent delay, completed all documentation at around 8:45am, was told that the rental will start at 8:30am since we were early, however i felt unfair so i requested to start at 9am instead, the lady who served us said we will have to wait until 9am. So i agreed and thought they will hand us the key at around 8:50am and go through the car with us so we can leave on time. However we were only served at 9:00am, by the time we got the car was way past 9am. Also during the waiting time, I realized my flight print out and other documents were mis-handed to the lady while making payment. When i walked to the counter and asked if my document was with her, the lady was quite rude and asked me to wait for my turn. We were not given Volkswagen Polo as booked on Easyrentcars.com. No explanation given as well. The man who served us for the car return had better attitude.

Incomplete information provided, which affected our itinerary and prevented us from visiting one country.

Instead of the Mercedes I ordered I received a Scoda Octavia VRS but the car was excellent and no complaints.

The car was in excellent condition, but it wasn't the type we booked. We reserved an automatic, but they gave us a manual.

Customer service staff in Innsbruck were rude, condescending and unhelpful.

They charged me an extra day's rental fee for returning the car just an hour late. The return location is not at the same place as the office in Vienna, and it took a long time to find it. In two words: very bad.

The instructions were detailed, and the service attitude was good.

The first car we were given had no parcel shelf and we were worried our luggage would be on display for the day, until we reached our accommodation. So the desk staff kindly changed us to a different model which suited out needs perfectly.
