Arrived 45 minutes earlier than the scheduled contract time to complete the paperwork, and it took nearly an hour to actually get the car. In the U.S., customers would generally be compensated for such delays, but the rental company not only lacked any apology, they even charged an extra day's fee because the issue date was earlier than the contract. Renting a car with a Chinese license is already more expensive than with an American license, and the service was still this poor—terrible experience!
The car broke down and the customer service was terrible and in fact the recommendations made by the customer service team were dangerous - they told us to drive it when the vehicle was not in a drivable condition and could have caused a huge incident if driven.
