THRIFTY CAR RENTAL REVIEWS IN CANADA

Average service. Not sure if it was because we arrived a bit early, but after completing the paperwork, the wait for the car was slightly long.

We travelled to Toronto Pearson airport with 3 kids and an infant, up on arriving at the pickup location, we were sadly informed that although you can book with a Visa debit, you can't rent with a Visa debit. The gentleman at the counter was very patient and understanding of our frustration and wasn't rude or snippy at all. He got the car and car seat ready for us while our family member made his way down to meet us with a credit card. I will most definately be renting from this Thrifty in the future (without a Visa debit!!!)

Booking with easyrentcars was very clear simple to use. I will be using this in the future to rent a car!

Car alignment was terrible and had to continuously make adjustments to keep the car straight. Caused high fuel usage as a result. We can't do anything during our rental period as we were out of town and only made comments on our return. Nothing was said on our comments.

Overall, it was fine. The staff had a good attitude when returning the car.

Upgraded car was excellent.

Car exceeded expectations and was absolutely perfect for our trip.

The actual rental car didn't feel very good to use.

The staff did not tell me about the premium location charge (20% of the total bill)

Both the young lady at the pick up in Halifax and the drop off in Moncton were very helpful. We had to call out roadside assistance when our vehicle lost electrical power and the manager at Moncton was most sympathetic and gave us a discount without being asked.

Will rent again

Thrifty is slightly farther but the service was great, the lady at the counter was clear about everything to our questions, while she noticed we have insurance covered, she didn't up-sell anything unecessary, also she upgraded our Toyota Yaris to a Nissa Rouge SUV, the whole process was just about 10 minutes.

The price is clear with what features/insurances are included, everything is well explained. Price is slightly cheaper compared to other booking websites, recommended.

No one in Parking Garage to assist with location the vehicle and when it was returned the lot was full had to wait for an attendant to show me where to place the vehicle.. When vehicle was picked up no one was around to go over the vehicle with me like other renters do.

When the vehicle was dropped off they said that they would e-mail my receipt. I still don't have it and I need it.

I was down for the standard car and was given an SUV! I needed car for an extra couple days and was accommodated!

Price drop protector saved me some money!

I arrived 15mins earlier to pick up the car but instead ask me to wait for my booking time!

Did not get the Corolla as advertised but instead an Elantra, still a good drive though.

They did not have enough cars, so after travelling for 21 hours I had to wait 40 minutes for cars to arrive at the pick up. Completely defeats the purpose of having a booking. The car was dirty and smelled like mold.

The vehicle was clean.
