Returning the car at Antalya Airport was very quick, just ten minutes, as long as you find the return point. Picking up the car in Izmir was a bit more troublesome, we had to walk a while and even got lost.
Terrible, terrible, terrible! I reserved the car a month in advance, but when I arrived at the store there was no car available. I had to wait 3 hours for them to get a car from another location, and then they increased the price by over 50% when I got there, with a 'take it or leave it' attitude. They even said that without immediate payment, they wouldn't hold the car. I finally got the car back to my hotel, and the next day it had a flat tire. No roadside assistance was provided, and I was told to handle it myself. After a lengthy discussion with the rental company, they suggested I change my travel plans, which was ridiculous since I already had my hotel and flights booked. This was a horrendous car rental experience; it felt like I was being taken for a ride!
Because we had 5 people, the previously selected car had a small trunk. The staff at the store kindly changed it to a Skoda diesel car with a larger trunk. The car was powerful, fuel-efficient, and very useful. We are very satisfied and grateful for the thoughtful and high-quality service provided by the staff.
Overall, the service attitude at Enterprise Rent-A-Car is okay, and the queue time is not long. The key issue is that they don't have the cars we need. Additionally, QEEQ charged a brokerage fee, so we were forced to rent from this company. Had we known, we wouldn't have made a reservation as there are plenty of car rental companies with more options!
At the arrival level of Izmir Airport, you can see the Enterprise counter. The parking lot is across a sky bridge, and the counter staff did not accompany us to pick up the car. The counter staff also incorrectly indicated the return location, causing my family and me to shuttle between the airport counter and the parking lot, which is a considerable distance. The counter staff did not apologize and blamed the agency, QEEQ, instead. The staff at the pickup point had poor English, making communication difficult. Moreover, the only automatic vehicle available was an old Citroën C1, leaving us with no other choice.
Picking up the car in Izmir was quite convenient, just a few minutes' walk. For returning the car in Urgup, I paid extra to have it picked up at the hotel, saving me a trip.
This is a large company with standardized services. I booked a POLO, but they upgraded me to a new diesel Skoda, which is obviously more upscale and fuel-efficient. I drove over 1500 kilometers, and the fuel cost was less than 1000 yuan. When returning the car in a different city, I was in a rush and couldn't find the drop-off point. I just drove to the terminal, and the airport car rental staff helped me return the car. Very satisfactory.
The service was okay, the rental process was simple, no need for a notarized or translated driver's license. Just wasn't sure where to pick up the car, took some time to figure out since the signs in Turkey are unclear.
They kept trying to hard sell an insurance that covers incidents without needing to file a police report. Other services were decent. However, the charges were strictly based on their system's prices, completely ignoring the RMB 160.00 we paid to Zuzuche China. Their reason was that the system shows the original price, and there was no room for negotiation. We were in a hurry to pick up the car, so we reluctantly accepted.
Enterprise is a fairly reputable company that requires a notarized driver's license. They offer a variety of vehicle models and provided us with a new car that had only 600 kilometers, so it was just out of the break-in period. They even refunded the early return fee, making it a pretty good company.
The store is about 50 meters to the left after exiting the international arrivals hall at Istanbul Ataturk Airport. The store is small, and the young guy who attended us had a full beard and was quite enthusiastic. The highway toll system is already set up in the car, you just need to confirm the charges when returning the car, which is just a few liras. After completing the paperwork, the car will be driven to a spot outside the hall under a RENT CAR sign. The driver handing over the car does not speak English, so if there are any issues with the car, remember to take photos and show him.
We initially rented a Ford Kuga but were given a Nissan Qashqai instead. This would be fine, but the most outrageous part is that over a month has passed, and my deposit still hasn't been refunded. I've never encountered such an untrustworthy company.
