After collecting my luggage and exiting through the arrival gate, the Thai Rent A Car desk was on the right, still inside the airport. I provided the staff with my QEEQ order number and the required documents, and then someone escorted me to pick up the car. They carefully inspected the existing scratches on the car, which was a brand-new 2011 Pajero Sport SUV. Overall, the experience was great.

When picking up the car, there was a woman who was very unresponsive. When returning the car, there was clearly more than a quarter tank of fuel, but they insisted it was only a tenth. After I requested to check the fuel gauge again, they reluctantly changed it to a fifth. Since I didn't want to complicate things abroad, I just accepted it. Overall, it felt like dealing with a roadside vendor trying to scam as much as possible, with no impression of standardized operations like a big company. I do not recommend renting from this company.

However, during drop-off, the inspection was more casual; as long as there were no major damages, it was fine. Returning the car was also convenient, with staff waiting at the drop-off location.

There was no Chinese service. Although they promised to deliver the car to the hotel for free, we ended up taking a cab to the airport to pick it up. There were no gas stations nearby, and vehicles like the Toyota Land Cruiser and Mitsubishi Pajero use diesel, which was not mentioned beforehand. We had to search for a diesel station for a while. The car was good and the paperwork went smoothly, but communication between Zuzuche and Thai wasn't great.

The car was a new Nissan, probably Sunny in our country. It had about 7,000 kilometers when we picked it up, with a backup radar and average power. Phuket has many hilly roads and with four people on board, it needed full throttle to reach 40 on slopes. The staff speaks good English and did a very thorough check when picking up the car, but just a quick round during drop-off, which is great service! We only used 3/4 of the fuel tank in 7 days and it cost 760฿ to fill up at Shell. I still recommend driving here; motorcycles are both dangerous and expose you to too much sun.

Also, there was no promised Chinese-speaking staff, only a Thai staff member who spoke English. They did not guide me to the pick-up point, just told me that it was near the 7-11 outside the airport. The staff are very patient and meticulous, they record all the old damages on the car during pickup and do the same during return. However, make sure you test the car thoroughly yourself. The wipers on the car I rented weren't working well, which is a concern during Thailand's rainy summer. Fortunately, the rental company noticed the issue with the wipers during return and didn't make a fuss. Also, since Thai people don't speak English very well, it's best to have a real-time Chinese-Thai translation app.

After getting my luggage, I saw the counter on the left. The staff member was either a handsome young man or a strong lady, it doesn't matter, it's their personal choice. The car inspection and rental process were very quick. Be sure to take detailed photos of the car when you pick it up to avoid trouble when returning it. However, the return process in Chiang Rai was simple; the staff just checked the exterior and fuel gauge.
