The car was horrible. The ride was poor. Seemed like a wheel was out of balance. It would start off rough and then even out but 0-50 was not good. Car lacked power and acceleration was not smooth. It was a hard pedal which made feel difficult. There was something wrong with the windshield that caused blinding by oncoming car light at night. I tried to remove it by washing the outside and inside several times but the glare remained.

The car was VERY small. I was led to believe I was getting a Jeep
Grand Cherokee 4x4 and I received a Hyundai Santa Fe AWD. I WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL. I was charged an additional 10.95 per day for my fiancé to be able to drive too. Ridiculous!
I WAITED TO GET THE VEHICLE FOR 1.5 hours and then once I received the paperwork, I waited an additional
30 minutes for the car to be brought out. VERY BAD experience. I will NEVER rent from FOX again!

Paid easy rentcars in advance but when picking up car from Fox had higher amount for rental Car was damaged when I picked up. Front bumper scraped and hub cap ripped off. Noted it But they should not be renting a damaged car that looked like that.

Customer service was horrible. Maybe the lady was having a bad day. The car was NOT what i had reserved and i was not told during booking. I found out when i went down to pick up the car and she didnt even bother to point out when giving me the papers. I was very disappointed cause I specifically wanted that car. To make matters worse, they overcharged fuel usage days after returning the car. It should've been about 10 dollars less.

Long wait to get the car at the rental counter. System or employee taking too long. Employee not friendly. Car needed new wiper blades as it was hard to see in the rain in Seattle. And it rains almost daily there. Kinda of a safety hazard.

There was no line at the car rental and about 4 people on staff so we were helped right away. They tried to up-sell us on about 5 different things. One of which is insurance and they tell you that if you don't go with their insurance and the car ends up in the shop they will charge you the daily rent fee for as long as they can't rent the car. Maybe this is typical but I have never had a company tell me that so I would probably look around for a different company the next time that doesn't have this policy. The car itself had been cleaned but hadn't been given as much care as we are used to with rentals.

The Jeep we rented had some electrical issues that effected the radio. It was really an inconvenience to have to go all the way back to the airport ( over an hour away) to exchange cars.

When the line is out the door and all other counters are empty, you need to forgo the time consuming up-sell and just get people into their cars. Waiting over an hour left me going to Dollar when I needed another car just because I did not want to wait, although you were less expensive.

RENTING THE CAR AT THE COUNTER WAS A NIGHTMARE. WE SPENT ONE HOUR AND 30 MINUTES . ALL OF US IN LINE WERE MAD AND UPSET . THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO US . FOX COULD FIX THIS EASILY , BUT HAS CHOOSEN NOT TO DO SO . THE LAST TIME I RENTED FROM FOX IT WAS THE SAME .

Overall a decent experience. The car served my needs. The thing I hated the most was that I had to pay a Security Deposit when I arrived, after I had already paid for the rental before I got there, and I also purchased the extra car insurance. I did not think that was fair. Plus that extra step cuts into the waiting time which was too long as well.

We went to pick up the car from Fox Rent a Car and when we arrived at 10AM we were told they didn't have any full size vans/similar cars available that we reserved. After waiting for over an hour, we were then sent to Payless Car Rental who we were told would honor the price and provide us with the correct car. When we got there they told us they only had a standard SUV....after we went down to get it, there was no way our luggage would even fit in the car. So we went back to the counter and another person there was able to finally provide us with a Dodge Grand Caravan which we originally ordered. Will never order from Fox Rent a Car ever again....thought the whole point of reserving a car meant it would be there for us when we arrived.

It would be helpful if you would help us make an informed decision about whether or not to do the prepaid gas versus just filling it up. are Philip was only $17, because it was a hybrid. Had I paid for the pre-fill it would have been way more.

The pick-up line was atrocious - even with 4-5 staff at the counter, it took 40 minutes to get to the front. I had a simple pick-up (only driver, online reservation, no extras) and it still took 10 minutes to be done at the counter - it was easily the most frustrating car rental experience I've ever had. The agents all seemed to be trying to upsell every customer on every possible item. The transaction technology was also really sluggish and antiquated - the kiosk I was on crashed halfway through.

The car was a little used and what I mean is it had ware and that was so nice I did not have to worry about parking it at the store with the small damage already done it was nice not to have to worry that someone might "ding it" it ran like new and it got great gas mileage.

I did notice it until I was driving to my destination but the check engine light was on and remained on the whole time I had the vehicle. In addition the vehicle seemed to be out of gear even though it was an automatic that something could be wrong with the shifting or acceleration. I caused several minor scares throughout the time I had it.

This was the best price for our needs. When we looked for the rental place, we finally found a bus outside that drove us to the rental area. This took at least 20 minutes even though the driver probably never used his brakes.
When we checked out, the lady bombarded us with "Extras". Did we want toll protection, gas plan, etc. We did pay extra for the gas because we knew we would buy gas but had no idea what it would cost & we could bring it back empty. Gas was not that high so we should have skipped this & bought gas. The toll price was high but we set our Garmin to avoid toll roads so this was a savings.
We do not rent often so overall this was a fair price, just be ready to make lots of decisions after you land, before you eat or mostly anything else.
Also, you are supposed to inspect the vehicle & sign a form stating what defects it has. They had just washed this one so it was still wet. We had to inspect it in a garage with minimal light so the wet vehicle hid many things if we had not been looking closely. We took pictures of everything we found & marked their paper.
We were not charged anything extra so all worked out well.
