Pick-up Instructions

The EZU - Christchurch Airport car hire location is located out of the airport

EZU is just 5 minutes from the airport and offers a free shuttle service. When you are ready please call 0064 210438288. You will be picked up outside door/gate 1, near the Air NZ domestic check-in counters. Please note that the car rental company's last shuttle service is at 5:30 PM. After this time, an after-hours service fee will be charged.If you do not use the shuttle service, no additional fee will be charged.

Drop-off Instructions

Please fill your vehicle with the correct fuel and return it to EZU at 168 Orchard Road, Harewood, Christchurch Airport. Our friendly staff will check the vehicle and then drop you to the front door of the Airport terminal - just 5 minutes away.

I booked a Toyota Yaris, and I can understand getting a car from the same category, but giving me an old Tiida with over 160,000 kilometers on it is unacceptable. Plus, it had three regular tires and one spare tire, and the accelerator was very loose. What's worse, by the end of the rental period, the brakes also became loose and I had to press them all the way down to stop. Initially, I requested a car change via WeChat and got a reply after 4-5 hours saying that there were no available cars for a swap due to high demand. I will definitely not rent from this company again. An additional $50 was charged for after-hours pickup. Which rental company charges extra for that?

I booked an Accord! They gave me a Camry with over 240,000 km! I can't accept this. The rental company said I was looking for a cheap deal, so this is the car I get. They also said I could cancel the rental. After traveling so far to their location, they told me to cancel. Finally, they gave me a Nissan March. After driving around the South Island for 17 days, I haven't seen a car in worse condition than this one! The rental company wouldn't refund the price difference either, claiming that the price for the medium-sized car I booked is the same as this small broken car! Whatever, I'm unfamiliar with the place!
