Wheego is a recently established car rental company. I arrived at 6 AM and there was only one staff member. The service was very good, detailed, and patient.
Cons: Rented a BMW 1 Series but was given a Golf. The full insurance was bought from a domestic insurance company, and the rental company couldn't see it, so they kept reminding me that I hadn't bought insurance. Pros: Picking up and returning the car was very convenient.
In our home country, we took the same car with the same people and luggage to the airport, but the staff here insisted that the Mercedes C-class couldn't fit our luggage and asked us to pay for an upgrade to an Audi A4 wagon. Coincidentally, another customer nearby was also asked to upgrade. It seems the reviews about forced upgrades are true. We were in a hurry, so we had to upgrade. Fortunately, the A4 was a diesel car, as I hoped, and had only 3277 kilometers, almost brand new. When returning the car, the staff inspected it very carefully, noticing a tiny chip on the windshield caused by a small stone. Thankfully, we had full insurance. I checked the windshields of a few nearby cars and saw many such tiny chips; the company considers them as damage. I suggest getting full insurance when renting a car. Overall, the car was fine, but after driving 1000 kilometers, it indicated that it needed one liter of oil, quite similar to domestic Audi cars needing oil for long trips.
Terrible service, each of the two locations only had one staff member. No one was there to inspect the car upon return; I had to leave the keys in a drop box. A month later, they emailed saying there were scratches and demanded 400 euros. I filed official complaints and through various channels. After a month, they told me it was a system error. Now, four months later, they still haven't returned my 250 euro deposit, claiming it was a normal charge and non-refundable. I am still filing complaints.
I booked a car for 7:30 AM, but after completing the paperwork, I had to wait another half hour because the car wasn't ready. I reserved an SUV but was given an A3, otherwise, I would have missed my meeting. The car was full of scratches not recorded on the paperwork, so I hurriedly took some photos. There were no staff members when picking up the car, so I had to ask staff from another company to switch the car system to English. This was my first and last time using OK MOBILITY!
The car was excellent but the front desk tried to upsell the insurance (I declined). The child car seat provided was old and instructions to install were not clear.
