Pickup: The employee at the counter was patient and helpful, but the POS machines did not work well and caused us big problems. The employee at the parking slot did not offer much help and was hard to find. The car was not clean enough. Even knowing we would return the car to Geneva Airport, the employee did not inform us that: 1) it's mandatory to buy a €50 Swiss traffic license when entering Switzerland; 2) the car should be returned on the French side, which again caused us huge problems when returning the car. Neither point was specified in the rental car confirmation order.
Drop-off: As mentioned, we arrived at the Europcar parking slot at Geneva Airport, but the first employee refused to accept the car and simply asked us to return it to the French side, or we would be charged €120. He provided a very simple map showing the way to the French side, but we could not find it even after an extra hour and three circles around the airport, and we almost missed our flight! Why does the same company have such a stupid and unfriendly policy?!! The distance between the two offices of the SAME COMPANY is just about 1.5KM according to the employee, so why should the customer be bothered by that??? Eventually, the second employee on the Swiss side agreed to take back the car, which took him only one minute! This was the worst car rental experience I've ever had in many countries, I must say!!!
The car was great, but the lady at the counter was very unfriendly to Chinese customers. Initially, she was fine, but her face immediately changed when she heard that we didn't buy extra insurance (already booked on the rental website). Her attitude became extremely cold. Additionally, she treated us unfairly with the deposit; she asked for 500 euros from me, but later I saw an American couple with the same car and duration only needing to pay a 200-dollar deposit (I saw their rental slip in the garage). Moreover, the quoted prices for the same car and rental period were absurdly different when I inquired later. Fortunately, the staff in the garage were very helpful and assisted me a lot.
Personnel au guichet horrible pas de sourire voulant à n’importe quel prix de vous vendre des options. La dame a changé deux fois mon véhicule pour enfin me donner autre voiture que celle réservée ( manuelle au lieu d’automatique)
La Jeune fille blonde aux yeux bleus limite RACISTE me faisant illusion au vol de voiture ....
Plus jamais europcar est le message est à diffuser au plus grand nombre.....
