Below is the summay of my recent car rental experience with Green Motion Edinburgh Airport. I was cheated by their staff from picking up till returing. I seek your investigation of their unethical behaviours.
1. I was forced to purchase zero excess when collecting my car. The reason is I cannot provide a credit card with pin. But after the zero excess purchase with them, then my credit without pin can be used for the 200 pounds deposit.
2. after purchase of zero excess, the staff at collection counter told me all the damages will be covered, no need to take photo of the car when collecting and returning the car. He even suggest me to cancel my 3rd party insurance with AXA.
3. When retuning the car, the manager told me the zero excess purchased with green motion is no longer valid and deducted over 1000 pounds from my credit card instantly despite that i refused to pay. His reasons are that i failed to report the scratch/dent on the door within 2hrs, which I did not even notice before returning the car. 2nd reason is the zero excess only covers 1st accident, which i was never aware of. I feel being cheated by the edinburgh airport staff at both the collection and return counters.
4. I had a flat tyre during my journey in the middle of nowhere and the car cannot move. i called the green motion emergency breakdown number 10 times and never connect through. the emergency number does not work! even during weekday day time! i was so desperate and it wasted my whole day to fix the car.
In total, this is the worst car rental experience in my life.

booking platform is excellent and customer service is great. I just hope that easyrentcars could let users see others' review about the car rental companies, which could prevent the customers from falling into unethical company's tricks, like Green Motion.

Hard to find- we went to wrong car hire place (due to looking for easy rent)
Felt very pressured to buy expensive insurance and ultimately felt ripped off.

There was a long que at pick up...I spent 3hours in total. This was partly due to the fact that there was an error in booking. But realistically speaking, this was the worst experience ever with car rental pick ups. Green motion should put measures in place to speed up the whole process and improve the over all experience.

The pick up time was ridiculous, the queue had about 8 people before me and took nearly 90 minutes to get to the counter. There was also a very narrow barrier to drive through when the van was picked up, quite hard to navigate when I’d only just got the vehicle and wasn’t used to the size and feel of it!
Seemed to be lucky that I was given a battered vehicle and told that it probably won’t be checked like the others usually are - I’d heard that Green Motion are incredibly particular about the bodywork and the video playing in the reception backed this up. Also, I couldn’t find a car hire excess policy that would cover Green Motion, which worries me. Luckily I was given a battered vehicle and told there were so many scratches on it, they wouldn’t check it at the end. I didn’t add any new ones but it was good to know that I didn’t have to worry about it.
Car booked was a Volvo V40 but greenmotion gave me a renault captur (not the same level)
Car was dirty inside.
They charged me extra 86£ (for administration costs) because I got a PNC for driving in London congestion charge zone on Monday 05/08/2019.
They did not even gave me the opportunity to manage it myself and not informing me during pick up that I will get a PNC if driving in the city center.
When I returned the vehicle they tried to convince me that some marcs in the wheel and one marc in the door were made by me (the ones in the wheel were already there and the one in the door is almost not visible and for sure made by another car in a car park. Honestly I cannot confirm if the door one was already there or not because is hard to see it).

Long waits. Worst up-selling and misleading car hire experience I've ever had. Charged crazy amount for minor scuffs on wheels that were there before my rental. Service was horrible. Won't be using Green Motion ever again.
Got stung on the fact that on didn’t have a valid UK credit card but wasn’t too much and the guy working there was super helpful and managed to sort it out for me so I didn’t have to pay crazy amounts!

Cars always exceed expectations, full option, clean great car, very long queue due to bank holiday which is understandable, people at the counter were friendly but of course they have to try to sell insurance, just make sure you know exactly what you want when you get there and you won't get more offers.

was told the car only has 3rd party insurance & that I would have to pay additional 800 pounds, As I had collision damage waiver as part of the deal I was being lied to, I come to the UK every year for a month but will not use green motion again, I will also make it my job to tell anybody who will listen not to do business with a company like yours, green motion are con artist....

As in the title. They are OK. Charge for everything, don't be late! But vehicle was fine as was return process. No Issues, check your car before taking it out just to be happy.
