At the counter when pick-up, I was emphasized on non smoking and full fuel return...
At the car, I was found it had a slight smell... different from a brand new smell...smoke.
And more... the staff showed me the car had fuel 2/8. I gave a question, " Is the same fuel amount return okay?" He said "Yes."...But...it was a difficult mission...2/8 fuel return. In fact, I returned the car with fuel 1/2.
If the company urges the driver on the full fuel return, it should fuel up at first. The car pick-up place Don Mueang airport is located in the area without gas station ?
“High mileage, very scratched and dented vehicle, without auto door lock and defective locking system”
About National:6.0/10
Car had more than 90k on the clock. It took a long time to check the car because of all the scratches and dents (see photo of record). Only way to lock the car was to press the lock button on the inside of drivers door, then close the door and lock with the key. The service attendant seemed to deliberately hide this fact. He had inserted the key and had the engine started before we inspected the car and we didn't discover the problem till we stopped on the expressway services on the way to Cha Am, already far from the airport.
Tried to upload one vehicle damage record but got a message "sorry, you can upload no more than 20 graphs".
“No enough good car for client and force client to use poor car with no choice”
About National:3.7/10
National gave me a poor car which broken left sound speaker and hided it by setup the sound only on the right speaker. Moreover, inside the car is not clean. There any many stain areas on the car seats.
After I picked the car for five minutes, I found out the sound issue and call back to Nation. However, they said that they have only this car for me without any compensation so I have no choice to use that car on the first day and told staff to contact me on the day after, if they have other cars (I have no idea why they have only 1 car left).
On the next day, they to me to drive back to change a new car (I stayed > 25 km from the airport). After a long negotiation, the staff seem ok to deliver the new car for me. However, I need to wait for 1.5 hours to get the car (which I think normally it should take < 30 mins).
I rented a car from National through your platform at Krabi Airport, Thailand, from September 23 to October 2, with order number 67008665. I had prepaid a total of 1151 yuan for the rental and insurance fees on your platform. This overseas car rental experience has brought me significant trouble. During the car return inspection, the National staff charged me 4280 Thai Baht (928 Yuan) for a scratch on the left front wheel cover. Due to the approaching flight time and the threat of deposit deduction by the car rental company, I had no choice but to pay the 4280 Thai Baht. However, the whole incident felt unfair and even seemed like a scam. I am hereby providing feedback to your company, hoping for proper resolution.
1. In domestic car rentals, wheel cover scratches are considered natural wear and tear and are not the renter’s responsibility. Therefore, I did not pay attention to minor scratches on the wheel cover during the inspection. As a platform specializing in international car rentals, you did not inform users about this detail, leading to high compensation fees. You have certain responsibilities in this matter.
2. The National car rental company at Krabi Airport seems to be extorting customers with excessive compensation charges. The slight scratch on a wheel cover worth only a few dozen Yuan was charged at 928 Yuan without negotiation. They continuously threatened to deduct the deposit and pressured me with the approaching flight time. As a platform serving Chinese customers for overseas car rentals, I hope your company can establish basic assessment mechanisms to handle such unscrupulous car rental companies and provide a fair response to customers when they encounter such difficulties and extortion.
I arrived before noon, and my appointment was also scheduled for noon. When I arrived, there was no one there. Only one other customer arrived after me, yet I was still scheduled to pick up the car at 1 PM. I don't understand why I had to wait so long. Were there no cars available? This was a breach of agreement.
Like: New car Dislike: When returning car, very confusing. Finding the location was very difficult especially Don Mueng Airport is having a facelift. It will be great if they provide a map.
The pickup process was good, but when returning the car, there was a scratch on the vehicle. The woman at the company store was quite dramatic and did not speak Chinese, so we had to communicate in English. They insisted on charging me, claiming to have given me a 50% discount, and I ended up paying 4280 THB. Back home, a similar paint job at a dealership would cost no more than 500.
Like: The most cheapest price I have been booked. Car are in very well condition. Dislike: The airport way has been changed but my Google map never update. Make me lost more than hour to find how to go in to airport and traffic jam.
The car was dreadfully underpowered. Automatic that could barely manage some of the hills in Phuket. This is the second time I`ve had this experience and it makes me wonder if it is intentional! There were only two of us but had we had a car full we would have been pushing it up some hills! It was a new car too!
First, when they gave me the car, it had scratches and a cracked headlight. Fortunately, I noticed and asked them to document it, but the staff didn’t seem to care about inspecting the vehicle carefully. Second, they only informed me that a collision would cost 8000 THB, and didn't mention other important details like no smoking in the car or no eating durians. It's a complete scam! Third, when I returned the car, they were much more thorough than when they gave it to me. The car was clean and had no odor. I smoke, but I always smoked outside the car, so some tiny ash particles might have fallen inside, which is unavoidable. They claimed the car had a smell and charged me 3210 THB for cleaning. Even calling QEEQ didn't resolve the issue. Traveling like this is really frustrating! I advise everyone to stay away from this rental company!
