The whole process was really quick. I asked them specifically for Ford Explorer because I wanted to check that car and they had one available so overall great experience I only had the rental for less than 24 hours.
This experience serves as a serious warning to everyone planning to rent a car in Europe. First of all, the car I reserved was completely different from the one I was given, and the difference was significant. The rental company claimed that the given vehicle was the only one available. Since we were rushing to keep to our itinerary, we didn't argue much. The most outrageous part was that the car we received was actually broken. Initially, when shifting into first gear, the car reversed instead of moving forward. We thought it was just us being unfamiliar with the car's operation, so we didn't pay much attention. However, the issue persisted for about ten minutes. Later, as we were driving towards the parking lot exit, the car completely stalled on an uphill slope and even started smoking. The rental company insisted that the damage was our fault. When the car was handed to us, the fuel level was already close to empty, making it seem like this was a trick being used repeatedly. They directly charged €1500 from my credit card. Now, I’ve filed a complaint and it's already been over a month and a half without any progress. There are many details I won’t elaborate on, but overall, it was a terrible experience. It seriously ruined our travel plans for the day. Not only were we delayed, but we lost over €1500 for a car that didn’t even leave the parking lot. On top of that, they refused to refund the fee for that day’s rental. Honestly, the whole ordeal felt sickening, like eating something disgusting.
I booked a Ford Focus wagon, but was given a Volkswagen MPV instead, and the power was insufficient. The service during the rental process was satisfactory.
We reserved a Mercedes A-Class automatic, but the store had no stock and replaced it with a BMW 1 Series manual, which we refused. They then upgraded us to a GLB, but there was a £300 upgrade fee. At pickup, they said the fee would be refunded when we returned the car. However, at drop-off, they denied it. The inspector claimed I had signed for it, and the salesperson avoided me the entire time. The store manager brushed me off, and they refused to check the surveillance footage. Extremely poor experience.
The rental company charged additional fees during the rental process, and after returning to my country, my credit card was charged more than 400 USD. Fortunately, after a Rent-A-Car investigation, the money was refunded.
They maliciously set traps to deduct insurance and provide unclear bills with random charges. Avoid renting from this company at all costs! Their response to complaints is extremely rude!
Quite satisfied. There was no waiting in line when I arrived, and the service was great. They even gave me tips on how to save on airport parking fees.
