FRANKFURT CAR RENTAL REVIEWS

Like: Got a free upgrade, which is always nice. But had to wait a long time behind just 1 other customer to get service. Car was in excellent condition. Had a great trip in Germany with the car. The price was a steal, even for the basic SUV I had originally requested.
Dislike: No answer at all when calling their office to extend! They absolutely don't pick up the phone. In the end, I had to go to the airport again on the day I was supposed to return the car, to extend my reservation. During drop off, no receipt/information about billing was given.

1. The flight arrived early and there was no delay with the luggage. We arrived at the Hertz counter 40 minutes earlier than the scheduled pickup time, but the staff refused to process the pickup. If we use the car for only three hours on the last day but still have to pay for a full day, why can't we pick it up early? 2. We didn't get the car because we only had an international driver's license without the original license. I've rented long term from Hertz's official website for the past four years with just an international driver's license for trips over four weeks each time. This year, renting through Zuzuche, the counter refused to give us the car and even denied a refund. Moving forward, we will blacklist both your company and Hertz.

Waited for over 2 hours to get the car I booked. They kept me waiting and tried to offer a lower category car.

Pickup and return were very convenient. It took a while to find a place to refuel at the airport, but everything else was great.

The staff's attitude was quite average. The queue wasn't long, but the processing speed was relatively slow.

Logged into the 'Zuzuche' website in China to pre-book a Mercedes-Benz C-Class four-door five-seat car and already paid (rental prices vary by car). On July 18, 2018, when picking up the car at the car rental counter in Frankfurt Airport, the German staff told us that no Mercedes-Benz was available and offered a BMW 3 Series four-door five-seat as an alternative, showing it on a computer screen. After confirming multiple times, we agreed to accept the alternative. Additionally, the staff tried to upsell a Volvo SUV, which we declined. When we went to the parking lot in Frankfurt Airport (about a ten-minute walk) to pick up the car self-service, we found it was actually a Skoda four-door five-seat. We returned to the counter to inquire, and the staff again said no Mercedes-Benz was available and only the Skoda was offered. We sternly pointed out, 'We rented a Mercedes-Benz as shown available on the website and paid for it. Therefore, the company should provide a Mercedes-Benz or give a reasonable explanation for why not, obtain our consent to provide an equivalent or higher-class car, and assume corresponding breach responsibilities. Additionally, claiming falsely that a BMW 3 Series would be provided is an attempt to deceive us. We demand a reasonable explanation and solution.' The staff then took out a key to a Mercedes-Benz from a drawer within two minutes without explanation. We successfully retrieved the car ourselves (a 2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class 180 four-door five-seat car). Upon inspection, this was the only Mercedes-Benz in the dedicated parking area for the rental company at Frankfurt Airport, and it was a new 2017 model.

We had a lot of luggage for 4 people, booked a Mercedes E-Class Estate, but were given an Alfa SUV. The luggage didn't fit, so we had to squeeze into the back seats.

Had an accident with the car and the after-sales service was extremely unsatisfactory. I am still entangled in the issue. They didn't provide any original invoices and only gave me self-made ones, claiming they couldn't find the originals due to high volume. When asked to explain how the 1000 euro deductible became 2000 euros, they didn't respond. The car rental company and the rental platform kept shirking responsibility, each pointing to the other. Terrible experience.

The booked BMW 3 Series was unavailable and downgraded to a Peugeot 308 with five seats. The staff initially had a poor attitude and tried to make me accept the downgrade by offering a half-tank fuel return. Later, after contacting Rentalcars.com customer service, Hertz finally admitted the downgrade. Currently waiting for after-sales compensation.

Due to a security incident at Frankfurt Airport, the entire airport was closed, causing the flight to be delayed. Upon picking up the car, I was informed that the booked and prepaid car had been rented out. Only one similar model was left, which required an additional payment of 5000 yuan for an upgrade. Communication with customer service was unsuccessful, and I had to pay extra to get the car.

Good service, pretty satisfactory

A small pebble caused a tiny dent the size of a fingernail, and they charged 464 euros for the repair! They also claimed it was the lowest possible fee! They initially agreed to a 10 euro daily upgrade fee, but upon return, they insisted on 20 euros per day!

So-so

I asked for a diesel version, but they gave me a Volvo XC60 instead. The space is ample, and it easily fits three 26-inch suitcases with room to spare.
