1. Had to wait over half an hour for the staff.
2. The pickup point wasn't at the airport as mentioned, but in a remote location that required a shuttle.
3. The car provided was not the Toyota Vios I reserved, but a downgraded Perodua Axia.
4. The car wasn't full of fuel, it was only at the last segment.
5. After taking photos and returning the car, I refueled it fully. Although they didn't mention keeping the fuel receipt, comparisons of the dashboard photos before and after returning the car show I refueled it, but the company refused to provide the photos.
6. Upon returning the car, a staff member was very rude and used abusive language, even attempting to intimidate me with threats of violence.

Upon arrival we waited almost 40mnt to get our car as due to jam during that time (LIMA). The 1st car we got we were not very happy as the staff inform us to keep an eye on the car temperature. As I'm travelling with elderly and kids I was worried if the car stop mid way and so informed the staff to get me a replacement. Within 1 hour, the staff managed to get a replacement car and it was brand new and super clean. Bravo to the staff for working on my request so fast and really appreciate it.
Like: Good condition on the car Dislike: They had no idea how to install the carseat even we already paid rm120 for that carseat service. We end up putting it on ourself bcoz they took too long and no idea where to start in order to install the carseat.. We install the carseat ourself and untill we sweat.. Should we get back some of our money?

Very rude and unprofessional staff. One of the staff members was almost threatening and I was about to call the police. Vehicle in shabby condition damaged and dented exterior and shabby interior. AC hardly working despite engine running for 35 min. I was blackmailed into accepting an ‘upgrade’ to a vehicle of exactly the same spec but newer and with a working AC but was charged extra in cash. Second driver not added as per booking.
At the last hour, we were told that the car, Innova was not avail instead we were being offered with Avanza (paid for Innova). Fuel was not full. Told us they will deliver the Innova on the following day which we had to follow up. Innova was sent to our hotel but the car was definitely not to the expectation. Very poorly maintained. Fuel was empty and we had to fill up ourselves just like the Avanza. The car key and remote was simply unbelievable (pls refer photo)
The rental company scammed me, making me pay for pre-existing scratches. They didn't allow me to inspect the vehicle when I picked it up, then claimed there were scratches when I returned it and charged me for them. It was very frustrating.

Platform was a breeze to use and easy. Price drop not as expected. But easy and efficient service with good website information. Useful insurence options for ease of rental. Made rental in Malaysia a very efficient and stress free experience.
The car was not safe for rental, horn did not work, steering was horrendous and the car would not start if it was raining. I will never use EPTA again and would give a lower rating if I could.

Car pick up was a smooth process at Langkawi Airport. Upon arrival and picking up our luggages, we headed straight to the EPTA booth. Lady took a photo of us and told us to head out to the arrival hall (Gate/Pintu 2) and wait.
Rental car guy came about 5 minutes later after scheduled pickup time with the car. Car (Perodua Axia) was overall in a good condition. Fuel tank was half filled, so when returning the car, tank has to be half filled at a minimum. After signing a few papers and noting down any scratches/dents, a MYR100 refundable deposit was requested. I only presented my Australian Driver's License and that was acceptable - also there was no upsell of insurance, and I didn't get the insurance through EPTA either.
The Perodua Axia was a cheerful little car that took us around the island without skipping a beat. The car however can be underpowered at times, but dropping down to 2nd or 3rd gear will get you going up hill/overtaking quite comfortably. Interior cleanliness of the car could be slightly better however.
When returning the car, simply drive it back to the airport and give the guy's number (on the receipt) a ring. Ours came to pick up the car in less than 5 minutes and after a swift inspection for any damage, the deposit was promptly returned.
Overall a smooth and seamless experience, and for the price we paid for 4 days of rental, it's amazingly value for money.

Simple and easy to use platform. No issues were experienced with my rental, would personally use it again.
They promised to pick me up at the airport with a sign. However, I waited for half an hour after arrival and still didn't see anyone, and it was a midnight flight at 12 AM. After multiple calls to customer service, the car finally arrived after 1 AM.
EPTA should has inspected the car thoroughly before hand over it to customer. I found out the tyre was in bad condition (pls refer to the pic attached) on the first day when I was on the way up to Kundasang. I had to replace it with spare tyre for the safety reason. Couldn’t imagine what will happen if I didn’t realize it and continue the journey! in fact, all the four tyres has reached out their life span!
The so-called sign for airport pickup must be a dream. They charged me over 100 RMB for using one extra bar of fuel. It's a scam targeting those who didn't read the rental agreement properly.

In my booking confirmation i understand i will get a full tank of petrol and that i was supposed to return with full tank too. However, i was only given 2 bars/level of petrol. The staff said this is their normal practice ie. to give only 2 bars/level of petrol. If this is so, then would suggest that you provide a proper confirmation during our booking.
