CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON SICILY BY CAR IN MILAN

Estoy muy enfadado con el trato propocionado por Sicily By Car. En el momento de entrega del coche, me pusieron problemas para cogerme la tarjeta de crédito con la que pagar la fianza, diciéndome que estaba bloqueada y que no podían aceptarla (la tarjeta estaba en perfecto estado, y la he utilizado después de aquel momento, sin problemas). Como solo tenía otra tarjeta que era de débito, me obligaron a firmar un seguro a todo riesgo con ellos de 58,46€, negándose a cogerme si no la fianza con la tarjeta de débito, y por tanto negándose a darme las llaves o devolverme el dinero de la reserva. Una estafa (pues, insisto, aunque ya se avisaba de que si no se hacía el pago de la reserva con una tarjeta de crédito se podía concurrir en gastos, la tarje de crédito SÍ funcionaba y funciona).

It was pouring rain in Milan when I returned the car, and I couldn't see the road clearly. I didn't find a gas station near the airport, so I returned the car with two fuel bars empty, thinking they would just deduct it from the deposit. The car was in good condition otherwise, but why did they charge me €74.58?! Filling up the tank only costs around €50.

Overall, it was acceptable, except for the return process.

The staff member was a young man who was very patient and communicated in English reasonably well. The pickup location was on the fourth floor of a nearby parking lot, accessible by elevator. The actual parking spot for the vehicle wasn't the one initially indicated, but we eventually found the car by following the sound of the remote unlocking. The car provided was a Volkswagen T-Roc, and the trunk could fit two 24-inch suitcases and one 20-inch suitcase, which exceeded expectations. We did some prior research and purchased full insurance at the store, with a total payment of 515 euros (including a one-way drop-off fee of about 103 euros, an additional driver fee of 10 euros per day totaling 90 euros, and full insurance). Returning the car was quick as well; the staff confirmed no accidents or new damages during inspection, and a signature was all that was required. This highlights the benefit of having full insurance.

The front desk staff was very friendly, but there was a half-hour delay in picking up the car. No upselling, and the pre-authorization was 200 euros.

The car they rented to me was extremely terrible. It was the worst car rental experience I've ever had. Firstly, the car didn't have a reverse camera, and it's 2024! Can you believe that a car still doesn't have a reverse camera? Secondly, the car's dashboard displayed a battery level that continuously dropped as you drove. To recharge, you had to brake frequently, making me feel like an idiot braking on the highway. Thirdly, the air conditioning was inefficient and only cooled when the car was moving. When stationary, it was no better than a fan. Lastly, the most intolerable issue was the lousy USB port. I had to use USB for navigation since Bluetooth was not an option, but the car's USB port was very unresponsive. Often, it would disconnect while driving, losing the navigation, and eventually, it stopped connecting altogether. Truly garbage.

This car rental experience was excellent. The car was new and there were no overcharges. Highly recommended.

Overall, it was good. It felt better than some of the larger car rental companies I have used before.

The collection parking area was dark as we collected in the night so we have some difficulty to inspect the car.

QEEQ actually refund us some money for the price drop and we were very impressed as well as happy.

Overall, the car rental experience was satisfying, despite encountering some issues such as a flat tire caused by a nail during the trip and needing an urgent repair. Renting for 21 days during the busy July season, traveling through 7 countries, and driving over 4300 kilometers for less than 7000 was truly a great deal. The service at the Sicily by Car branch near Milano Centrale train station was excellent. They fully adhered to the contract booked via QEEQ, without any pressure to upsell insurance. The staff assisted with car inspection, and they were responsive to any issues that arose.

The service was excellent! The car's trunk can fit one 30-inch suitcase and one bag, for your reference. This car is commonly seen in Europe.

It was actually quite easy to find and very convenient. However, I thought it would be a pure petrol manual car, but I was given a hybrid car. The staff who checked the car during the return was very thorough.
