The service was extremely poor. They forced me to purchase full insurance and made various unjustified deductions after the rental period. Even two months later, deductions were still being made, and they did not respond to emails for communication.
It was already nighttime when picking up the car, and I didn't notice a small chip on the glass. When returning the car, I was asked to pay nearly 1000 euros. Feels like a scam company.
The service was highly professional, staff were warm and attentive, the procedures were handled efficiently and conveniently, and the car return process went smoothly.
The usual routine of upselling insurance during pickup. This rental company charged me 29 euros for car cleaning—should have cleaned it myself for 2 euros. Small rental companies rely on these charges to make money. However, they were quite friendly.
The staff provided good service, but the explanations and guidance for crossing borders were not very detailed. If you plan to cross borders, it's recommended to ask more questions and confirm the details.
The staff at the Milan location displayed clear racial discrimination. They mocked me as soon as I entered, tossed my credit card onto the table, and refused to type my Chinese address into their own Google Maps. Instead, they made me find it myself on their outdated phone. After spending a long time locating my Chinese address and showing it to them, they still doubted that my luxurious, modern home was truly my residence. Extremely poor service overall. During my 17-day road trip in Italy, I used three different car rental companies. Europcar was excellent, but Sicily by Car at Milan MXP Airport was absolutely terrible.
The lady handling the paperwork during pickup was very polite, but her Italian-accented English was quite hard to understand. The staff checking the car during drop-off were very courteous as well. They inspected the car for a short while and then told me everything was fine. The €200 deposit was refunded to my account just 2 hours after I returned the car, which was impressively fast.

During car return, the inspector was incredibly polite as well. He checked the car briefly and informed me that everything was okay. The €200 deposit was refunded to my account within 2 hours after the return, which was impressively fast.
“avoid Sicily By Car / Dryyve in Vieena they are cheap in offer but you pay double at the end!”
About Sicily By Car:5.0/10
At the time of pickup, the counter representative insisted that I either provide an International Driving Permit (IDP) or pay an additional 150 EUR for full coverage issued by your company. As a result, I had to order an online IDP, incurring an extra cost of 78 USD.
Upon returning the car, the receiving agent assured me that everything was in order. However, the next day, I received an invoice with additional charges totaling 90 EUR, including:
Out of Hours Charge (40.83 EUR): I had clearly stated in my booking that I would be returning the vehicle at night, and I was under the impression that this was already accounted for in the rental agreement. Therefore, I dispute this charge.
Austrian Vignette (10.33 EUR): This charge is understood and acknowledged.
Cleaning Surcharge (24.16 EUR): The car was returned in normal condition, with only unavoidable external dirt from rain and minor spotting on the floor mats. There was no excessive dirt or damage that would warrant an extra cleaning fee. I request clarification on the justification for this charge.
Given the above, I request a refund of the unjustified charges (Out of Hours Charge and Cleaning Surcharge) and a review of your policies to ensure transparent communication regarding fees at the time of booking.
This is the second time renting from this company. They provided an Italian local brand, Lancia. Although it's a small car, it performs excellently on the narrow roads of many small towns in Italy. With a 1.0-liter engine and electric assistance, fuel consumption is extremely low, and the space is sufficient for two people. I purchased full insurance directly from the car rental agency for peace of mind. The staff assured me that even if the car is damaged extensively, there's no need to pay. During drop-off, they didn't even inspect the car.
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
