I hadn't been to LAX in a long time and forgot how to find the shuttle, so it took me a while to locate it. The store wasn't very busy in the late afternoon around 6-7 PM. It shares the premises with Hertz. I waited in line for about 10 minutes before enquiring what cars were available. They offered me a Nissan Armada and a Ford Expedition, and recommended the Ford because it was a newer model. They suggested additional insurance, but I declined. The car was okay, though not exceptionally clean. There were some residual spots in corners not easily visible, but it was acceptable.
The service was outstanding. When the car had a problem halfway, they quickly replaced it and even upgraded us for free because they didn't have the same type available. Highly recommended.
The vehicle did not exceed my expectations because it was supposed to be a Rubicon. It took over a half hour to get the vehicle. The staff at Dollar was not very friendly. They just didn't seem like they cared too much about their job. The staff could have been more friendly. They could have gave me a choices on vehicles to rent. They could have went over the vehicle with me but they did not.
Dislike: Tricky to find where to return the car in Las Vegas, was not given details so a lot of driving around in circles before we figured out exactly where to go. Was not explained to us on pick up
