Car was fine. Guy at the counter was very aggressive in upselling insurance etc. Made it seem like it wasn't optional. I had to challenge him to get him to remove the extra insurance and he said "we should at least add the breakdown cover for only €5 per day" and made it sound like I had no choice. Was not a pleasant experience.
The overall experience was just average. Please note that there's a limit of 500 kilometers per rental, with an extra charge of 1 euro per additional kilometer. The car itself was pretty good, with more features than described.
Overall it was okay. Pros: The car I got was new and in good condition. Cons: The communication took a long time. I was told there was no such car available and was pushed to switch to another model for an extra fee. This upselling took nearly an hour. Although I eventually got a car of the same class without extra charges (not Volkswagen T-cross), it wasted a lot of time. Additionally, the final bill was about 40 euros more than expected due to taxes and other fees, which were not reflected in the initial invoice.
I had a terrible experience with this car rental. I'm still not sure if I got scammed because I'm naive or because this platform takes advantage of customers. I strongly advise against using this app for car rentals. I'll never use it again in my life! When I arrived in Paris, I saw a sign at the airport and approached it to find out that my reserved car was unavailable and I needed to switch. I was willing to change, but there were no cars in the same category, so I had to book a different one. After completing the new booking and paying, I asked the clerk what would happen to the money I paid on the platform. He said it would be released. I'm not well-versed, does 'release' mean the cancellation of the order on the platform? Then I was given a bill in French and asked to sign it. I don't understand French at all. After signing, I realized I had actually paid an upgrade fee. What was verbally communicated to me was different from the contract. They took advantage of my lack of understanding. When I got back, it felt like I paid twice for one rental. When I contacted the platform, they said I should have contacted them at the time, that I should have received a free upgrade, and gave me endless excuses. This dragged on for six months with no resolution. I accepted my bad luck, but I strongly warn everyone to never use this horrible platform. It brings nothing but endless trouble to customers! Absolutely terrible experience!
The car was fine, but they were crazy about charging extra. I rented the cheapest model with a £1,000 deposit, returned it in perfect condition with a full charge, and they still deducted £250.
First, the actual rented car was a diesel vehicle. During use, it suddenly showed a need to add AdBlue, otherwise it could not run normally after 100 km. After inquiring with customer service, I was told to buy AdBlue myself and then get reimbursed by the rental company. It took a lot of detours and wasted fuel to purchase AdBlue! Finally, after an hour, I bought it and got a receipt from the store (Total gas station). When returning the car, the rental company did not accept the receipt, claiming it did not list the AdBlue product name! We provided all evidence: a photo of the AdBlue warning displayed on the vehicle on the day of travel, photos of the purchase, and photos of adding AdBlue at the gas station, all with time stamps matching the receipt. We are still appealing and there has been no progress so far...
The contract clearly stated a payment of 3.6 euros at the store, but after returning the car, 11.71 euros were deducted from my prepayment without explanation. Not sure what the charge is for?
Very bad experience. I clearly told them I didn't need insurance. Initially, they said the amount charged was a deposit, but later the receipt showed it was an insurance fee. Now I'm dealing with the car rental company. This is terrible! Be careful, everyone!
