The procedures were fast, and the inspection of the car was thorough and honest, identifying many small scratches that we hadn't noticed. Unfortunately, the GPS was not useful. If it weren't for the phone's navigation, we would have been lost! They didn't inform us about the toll fees in advance, unlike the previous company we used. Otherwise, we would have been confused at the toll stations!
The AVIS in downtown Antalya, Turkey, is a really small establishment, but communication was smooth. However, they kept trying to sell us insurance for 20 lira per day, even though we had already purchased comprehensive insurance on the QEEQ website. The staff seemed a bit unhappy that we didn't buy it, but it didn't matter. The car was really new and in great condition, driving it was very comfortable, the air conditioning was strong, and the features were nice. The roads in Turkey are exceptionally well built. We rented the car for 6 days, driving all the way from Antalya to Izmir. Even on the longest day, driving for 7 hours didn't feel tiring. The scenery was amazing. If you come to Turkey, you absolutely have to drive yourself!
The AVIS in downtown Antalya, Turkey, is just a small shop, but the communication was smooth. The roads in Turkey are incredibly good. We rented the car for 6 days and drove from Antalya to Izmir. The longest we drove in one day was 7 hours, but it didn't feel tiring at all. The scenery was fantastic. Turkey is a great place for a road trip!
Overall, the car rental process was quite good. We wanted to rent two SUVs but were given Citroën C4s instead. However, they were brand new, diesel-powered, and performed very well!
We were given a Volvo S60 upon arrival, but the order clearly included full insurance. However, they insisted we only had basic insurance. My friend had to pay extra to buy additional coverage. Overall, it was mediocre.
The staff was very enthusiastic. The originally reserved Peugeot 508 was replaced with a Mercedes model. I forgot the exact engine size, but it's probably similar. The car had 20,000 kilometers on it, was very new, and in great condition.
The service was alright. As other customers have mentioned, there was a push to sell insurance at the counter. Additionally, the one-way fee increased from 470 lira to 530 lira. Since the staff had poor English communication skills and I was in a hurry, I let it go.
The service was very good. Our first car was a new one with only 31 kilometers. It broke down after driving from Antalya to Fethiye, but we got a replacement the next day without much delay. Returning the car at Izmir Airport was also very convenient and quick.
I am very satisfied with the car's condition; it's quite new. The only drawback is that the accelerator pedal is a bit heavy. I got a Citroën C5 instead of the booked Ford Focus, which was a pleasant surprise. The car also came equipped with a highway toll card, very thoughtful. As QEEQ reminded, the store's staff did try to sell extra insurance, and since I'm cautious, I bought it.
The vehicle was relatively new, and both the pickup and return processes were quite convenient. So far, AVIS's service has been satisfactory, and I will continue to choose them.
I was very satisfied with the airport service. They charged an extra day as a deposit when picking up the car, which was fully refunded after the vehicle inspection upon return. No additional charges occurred after returning home.
1. Firstly, when we arrived at the AVIS branch at Istanbul International Airport, we showed our booking contract. The staff printed a pick-up contract that was 693.95 euros higher than our original contract. After a brief negotiation, the staff reprinted the contract at the original booking price but swapped the car for a Ford C-MAX, which is clearly not in the same category as a Nissan Qashqai SUV. Despite the staff's assurances that the Ford C-MAX had more space, it is actually a compact car with much less space than a Qashqai. To avoid wasting time, we had no choice but to accept it.
2. The booking contract stated a price of 5929 RMB or equivalent USD, which equals 693.95 euros. Upon picking up the car, we were charged a deposit of 1173.43 USD. After returning the car, 139.31 USD was refunded, and the final charge was 1034.12 USD. With the current exchange rate, that's 6442.56 RMB or 753.08 euros, which is 59.13 euros higher than the contracted price. Please assist in inquiring what these additional charges are for. Thank you!
3. Aside from the above issues, the pick-up and return process was rather convenient. The car was very new, with an odometer reading of 7180 kilometers, in excellent condition.
