Do not choose this company. They didn't provide the reserved vehicle and didn't accept the embassy-certified driver's license. They accused us of driving without a license and forced us to buy insurance. They also did not recognize the insurance provided by the car rental platform and required a deposit of 1800 euros with two credit cards in the renter's name.
The staff had a very good attitude. They tried to sell additional insurance, but when we explained that we already had insurance, they didn't push further or charge extra. Everything was as stated in the contract, and the car was in much better condition than expected – clean and comfortable.
An unbearable car rental experience, never encountered such aggressive insurance sales before. Despite repeatedly expressing that we didn't need it, they continued with a deadpan expression. When returning the car, they examined it with a magnifying glass (we didn't buy their insurance). If you rent a car from this company, be sure to take photos when picking up the car. Also, the staff rudely threw the keys on the table towards me and just pointed in the direction of the car without any courtesy. To make matters worse, as soon as we started the car, the tire pressure warning and reverse radar malfunction lights were on (strongly suspecting they were deliberately disabled because we didn't buy insurance). We've rented cars in over a dozen countries, and this is the first time we seriously leave a negative review! This car rental company feels unprofessional, with poor service attitude at every stage, and very petty. It was past 10 PM on the day of rental, so we had no choice but to reluctantly take the car!
Picked up the car at Milan Central Station. The process was fairly efficient, and they did try to sell me additional insurance. However, since I had already purchased full coverage, the staff didn't push it further. The car pick-up location was about a 5-minute walk from where the paperwork was done, but it was easy to find with the map they provided. I had booked a Toyota Yaris Hybrid and the pick-up went smoothly, but the engine fault warning appeared when I reached Venice. Had to switch the car at Venice Airport to a Ford SUV, and the staff were very apologetic and didn't charge any fees. Later, when we drove to Rome, the car indicated it needed an oil change. As we were two women and didn't know how to handle it, we tried two gas stations but couldn't get any engine oil. So, we drove to the Rome train station hoping the rental office would change the oil but they just gave us another car without any extra charges. Finally, we returned the car in Milan and the staff checked everything, saying it was all okay. We thought the rental experience ended smoothly. However, two days later, we received an email from the company claiming there was damage to the windshield and we were charged 1080 euros. Despite multiple emails, they still charged my credit card. Thankfully, with full insurance, we eventually got reimbursed through the rental platform. In summary, smaller rental companies can be unreliable, as I’ve never faced so many issues with international chains before. And always buy full insurance!
The plant form was good. However, I found they extra charged me some money 3-4times that I can’t match with my bookings. The payment is paid by my husband and he didn’t not about it. As it’s annual audit, I just found this problem. It may be just my personal experiences, but still don’t feel ok about this.
We needed to carry four 28-inch suitcases, so we booked this larger car. Although the price shown at the time was very cheap, it doesn't mean they can just randomly substitute another model. When we arrived at the store, they told us they didn't have the model we wanted. The actual available model was much smaller than we had planned. If we wanted to upgrade on the spot, it would cost us a lot more. In the end, we had to place one suitcase on the back seat. In the future, it's better to choose a larger car rental company. For companies with less international experience, you need to be more cautious.
Great price so picking up a tatty car was expected.
Received the usual targetted sales patter for not only CDW protection but also breakdown! That's a first. Naturally I declined it all.
Snow socks not chains but they sufficed. Overall great for the price.
Good communication all round
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Best price and then a best price guarantee. What's not to like? Great communication too.
Overall good. For first-time renters, it's natural to be a bit nervous. The car had some minor scratches on the road, but thanks to QEEQ's insurance, we quickly submitted the materials and had them verified. The compensation was processed swiftly. Good experience.
Even though I repeatedly confirmed that I booked an automatic car, I was still given a manual one. After several requests for a change, the staff said they were not familiar with cars, and that both the manual and automatic ones looked the same. Despite taking over a hundred photos and several videos, the same staff member who claimed unfamiliarity with the car quickly found a scratch on the bumper when I returned it, insisting I caused it. Since I didn't have photos from beneath the car, I couldn't provide evidence and had to accept it. I couldn't sleep the whole night out of frustration. Later, I checked Google Maps and found that someone else had the same issue after I picked up the car.
I booked a Lexus as per the website's instructions, but was given a Lynk & Co. They claimed their rental company didn't have any Lexus cars and aggressively tried to sell me extras. First, they pushed to sell snow tires for 200 euros a day, then reduced it to 100 euros and eventually to 60 euros after I refused. They then tried to sell insurance and threatened that I could not drive without snow tires, and set a very high deposit. Moreover, when returning the car, they spent 15 minutes inspecting it and found a barely visible spot on the windshield, for which they could not prove I was responsible, and said they needed to replace the entire windshield, charging me 1080 euros. This is blatant robbery. Avoid using this rental company noleggiare at all costs. This is the first time in over ten years of renting cars in Europe that I have encountered such shameless extortion.
Make sure to take pictures of everything, especially the windshield. Even small stone chips will cost you. My rented car was already pretty beat-up, and they charged me for those stone chips. Also, be sure to take a picture of the fuel gauge.
