SICILY BY CAR CAR RENTAL REVIEWS

I asked for full-full petrol, they gave me half a tank. This is unacceptable. 45min pick up queue is also unacceptable. There are tech companies that let you unlock your car with an iphone, and not speak to anyone. I'm not saying we should expect this from every car rental company, but I still cannot believe how much paperwork we have to fill out and that it takes 8-10 minutes for every person to collect their car. They need to improve their processes otherwise they will lose market share to tech-companies (Virtuo).

There were only a few people, so it was quick.

Left on Sunday and still waiting for funds to be returned to my credit card.

Worst experience ever

I arrived a minute after midnight at their office, had to wait in the queue anyway, and the was made to pay 45 Euros for "out of normal hours" pick-up of the car (i.e. past midnight). Pathetic...

Over the internet we make a reservation (completed): car Fiat 500 = 30€. When we came ob the airport we get Peugeot 108 and have to pay 85 more €. So for fu*king Peugeot 108, 2 days, we have to pay 115€.

Despite pre-booking a car for 10am we had to wait over 2 hours for the car. Service throughout pick up was appalling.

The car was great, but I want to comment on the assistance services - I got a fine for incorrect parking in the center of Bari and even though I've sent a mail to the counter - I didn't get any answer. It's good that they told me how to pay my fine when I dropped off the car. Moreover, when I missed the opening hours of the office in the center of Bari for drop off (because I booked through Easyrentcars and specified 20:00 for drop off hour in the center of Bari, but when I went to the office in the center at 19:30 - it was already closed), I wanted to call the airport office for assistance (whether I have to return the car at the airport in the same day or can return it on the airport), but nobody answered my numerous calls. So I had to go to the airport and drop off the car there (by the ways, three girls were sitting there, I wondered why they didn't answer)

Everything was very good with the exception of the long wait to pick up the car. We waited a little more than an hour just to pick up the vehicle.

The car was old with 80.000km and not cleaned at all. I was offered to wait 40 minutes to have the car cleaned or go back to the counter and queue again to get a different car. The counter staff was not friendly and only told me after choosing a car for me, that there was another vehicle available.

Super slow to process the check in. They have to input all the information on the spot. Never again.

They were a bit slow and a bit aggressive with up selling insurance.

Pre-booked the car with all the required information and joined the priority queue at the Sicily by Car rental desk. There were 2 agents dealing with rentals but it still took over 1.5 hours to get to the desk ! When I got to the desk they had run out of car keys; 1 agent went to source more keys and the other agent went for a break. Following a further 15 to 20 minute delay I started the paperwork. eventually after nearly 1.75 hours we were given our keys; nearly as long as our two hour flight from the UK !!! As a family who had pre-booked this wasn't a great experience. Additionally I had pre-booked two child seats which the agent appeared to know nothing about, a call was made an I was told there would be two seats in the vehicle. On arrival at the vehicle pick up there were no car seats in our vehicle, another 20 minute delay !!! come on Sicily by Car get your act together.

I was very pleased with the service. The provider did not have available booked car at the time of my arrival, but since they guaranteed the class, I ended up with the best car in the class, better than my original booking :) Lucky me, Oh and the car was almost brand new, spotless.

Excellent price tracker platform. We ended up paying 15% less then originally charged :)

Long waiting times at pick up and sat nav did not work- still trying to get a refund despite complaining on drop off and providing photo evidence. Rip off!

Given nice choice of vehicles in class. Good service.

Poor service tried to off load damaged SUV - damage not record on documents asked to sign before pickup. Returned the key to desk and requested a car with no big dents. Replaced with a standard car not SUV - disappointing but had no chosse condering time of pickup. Also SetNav did not work - wasted good holiday time returning to the Sicily desk.
