Each full charge only got me about 120km, which they did mention when I rented the car. Still, it meant I had to recharge almost every two days, which was a bit inconvenient.
When you return the car it has to be completely full, and they only allow up to about 10 km of fuel usage, so you’re basically forced to fill up at a nearby gas station right before drop-off.
Rented a car in Spain for a road trip around Europe. When we got to France the car started having issues and couldn’t pick up speed, but at the airport in France they swapped and upgraded our car on the spot. Big international rental chains like this have branches in most European countries, which is honestly super convenient.
If 100 is a perfect score, I’d give them about an 88. Overall the service was solid, but there’s one thing I have to point out. I showed up right on time at 12:00 to pick up the car. They did arrange a same-class vehicle for me (another VW SUV), but when we got to the parking lot they told me the car still wasn’t cleaned and asked me to wait… The problem is, this waiting time doesn’t get reflected anywhere – I still had to return the car at the original time stated in my booking. After I insisted, the staff on site verbally agreed I could return the car 30 minutes later (important detail: only he knew about this. When I returned the car, it was a different staff member who checked it in, and they just charged me for an extra full day).
The company felt pretty legit. No hard sell on extra insurance, they didn’t insist on any license translations beyond the original, and they just double-checked I could drive a manual. My Focus got swapped for another car in the same class, but since it only had about 800 km on it, I really couldn’t complain. We did a 14-day road trip around Madrid, Seville, and Valencia with a small manual car for two people, and it was perfect—especially with cheap fuel.
Overall, Eurocpcar was really efficient and straightforward to deal with, no hidden tricks. I’d definitely consider using them again next time I’m in Europe.
I originally booked a Mercedes A-Class but they upgraded me to an X5 for free. The car was quite new and really nice to drive. The staff were great both at pickup and drop-off, and their English was excellent. Big thumbs up.
