Car was not cleaned, had over 40,000 miles on the clock and had a slow puncture from the previous renter. I had to fill it up with air every day of the week that I had it.
The offices are some distance from LAX which is not a problem as that is the case with many such companies there - however, Fox has by far the most infrequent shuttle buses running. At least five buses from each company went by before the first Fox one showed up, so we ended up waiting for 45 mins with small children after a very long flight.
It’s incredible to me that, after years and years in business and with the availability of incredible technology, it still takes 10+ minutes to pick up a car. Four people at the desk and 20 people consistently in line. The wait is not only painful but incredibly frustrating because it doesn’t need to be that way.
Call the company upon arrival at the airport, and a shuttle will pick you up at a designated spot. It takes about half an hour. The car rental process is fairly quick.
Almost no wait time at the counter, staff friendly, although tried to sell me the insurance I already have purchased. Didn't informe me about pre-purchased free tank, afrer I asked, they confirmed it though
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Include the info about fuel option in confirmation/details of booking. There is no written record of fuel option ordered to show at the counter.
Also, the AXA super protection confirmation is in HKD instead of USD.
Car has exceeded my expectation. I was expecting a 2016 to 2018 model as was described on the site but I got a newer car and the rate was unbeatable. Didn’t get any hassle from the staff and the car was ready when I got there. Definitely gonna go with EasyRentCars and next time.
About QEEQ:9.0/10
It worked great. Website was easy to navigate and understand. Most of all, all the info I need was there to make my experience at the car supplier hassle free from docs I need to what to expect from the staff. You got all your bases covered.
The guy at pick up was amazing. Gave us the best directions to get out of town and was lovely and friendly. Wish I could remember his name. And when I dropped car off the gentleman was just a lovely polite man and a pleasure to chat too. His name was Monsoor. I actually asked him to write it down cause he was such a gentleman.
“Horrible customer service experience with a nice car”
About Budget:7.7/10
When we picked up the car on the 14th of August from Los Angeles Airport, the counter staff member called Bruce was absolutely terrible. It was probably one of the poorest customer services I have experienced in my life. He was rude, bullying and even tried to sell us extra insurance even though we had bought the full insurance package covering everything there is. He was mocking us and had an attitude as if he was supreme. I don't understand how can you have a person like that on the job. Never using Budget again for renting a car, if that is what the company wants to represent. I would appreciate if you would forward this feedback to his manager.
The counter staff was helpful and she give me upgrade to DINALI with 29 USD Daly difference and 17 USD for the insurance
Unfortunately I configured later the car I took was Yukon XL not a DINALI as she said
Appalling company. I couldn't find the offices for starters. The directions were non existent. I paid for a guaranteed CRV - But it wasn't available. They offered a Tiguan (which should have been fine) but it was a nail. Masking tape covering a hold on the door. The battery packed in and we were parked on a "tow" zone in San Francisco. The customer service team were on voicemail and at no point did they return the call. At all. I had to get a mechanic out to jump start the car at my expense. Eventually I heard back by text from a guy who told me to go and get the battery changed at my cost. I finally drove it to one of their offices and insisted on a new car. I got it changed to a RAV4 which couldn't have been cleaned since it was bought. It was disgusting. Dont use these people
After arriving in the US, I was in an unfamiliar place and didn't speak the language well. Unexpectedly, my SIM card didn't work. The rental company's shuttle bus had no markings, so I had to ask each driver individually— it was quite desperate! Why not send the pick-up location information earlier? This should be sent before the departure because once you land in another country, you can't always count on having a working phone signal! It's not considerate!
Overall, it went smoothly. However, they always try to persuade you to buy their insurance, which is understandable since their rental prices are the lowest, and they probably make money from the insurance.
