    Like: Quick service, no much of bureaucracy, kiosk check in save time in lines, staff on pick-up very friendly. Free upgrade for a Toyota Rav4 because they didn't have a Toyota Camry.
    Dislike: We reserved a Toyota Camry to be more conscient of fuel usage and our car was not available at the day. So we have to use a category above with more fuel consumption.

    Dislike: First rep tried to upsell an upgrade and goes onto insisting on a Chinese driver's license even though I had a voucher clearly stating that a US or Canadian driver's license is acceptable. He didn't make much effort to help and sent me to wait in line again at Customer Service counter, where the service rep was a lot more helpful and straighten out the issue by doing a simple check on the order comments.

    Like: Found the vehicle last in the trip planning and still got a wonderful price. The check in was all computerized and I got to pick my vehicle from a number of choices makes and models. Really liked the whole process and very considerate personnel helping with the check in computers. And check in only took minutes.
    Dislike: The fuel options are confusing so filling up before returning seemed the best and least expensive option. The insurance included was something I've looked for and it was a pleasant benefit.

    Alamo were absolutely awful. We arrived and went to sort the car, we were asked to choice the car, I asked if we just picked any, to which the man said yeah. We just choose the one he had up, it was the size we needed. He said I needed a car seat which I had to pay for. He went over the cost of the seat and that was it. A day later I checked my online banking to see £1200 had gone out of my account. When I looked on the paperwork, we had been charged £1200 for the car. I couldn't understand why as I had paid for the car. When I looked into it more, we had been charged an upgrade charge and taxes. The car we had was an upgrade. He never at any point said its was upgrade or chargeable. We went back and they changed the car for one we had paid for. The lady we spoke to said she was sorry, but didn't seem surprised. I think it was awful that we could be offered a car and not told you will pay £1200 more. What A con. We also didn't need the car seat as all the children were old enough, that did get removed from the costs. I'm so disappointed that they could do what they did. If I hadn't have gone back we would have been charged all the money.

    The car was received with a lot of scratch marks and the personel in attendance didn't seem to care. Took photos myself for future reference. On my way to the hotel after a 26 hour trip I realized that the car were only half full. Again took photos for my reference. Received an additional bill of $141,67 after my trip which are unexplained and cannot be for gas alone. Await reply. Very average experience and will think twice before using Alamo again.

    Anything over 30 days rental is a nightmare with Alamo. For 66 days hire it ended up being 3 separate rentals. 3 days before car return an abusive email sent regarding my expired debit card and the need to return it to a location ASAP as it was no longer a valid rental. Closest Alamo 2 1/2 hours away. Customer Service also very unhelpful. Wouldn’t take a valid cc over phone or via email yet that is how I booked it all in the first place. Eventually after 2 days of abuse and being told the car would be listed as stolen, given an Enterprise location 30 minutes away. The very first conversation if told I could go to an Enterprise not Alamo location would have avoided all of this as would it have been if I was advised of the issue when the new rental kicked in 4 days before being notified when I was at an Alamo location. Certainly didn’t appreciate being told to take the car back to Los Angeles when I was 21/2 hours north east of San Francisco. I don’t know whether it is a California thing, but lack of service and rudeness seems the norm as well as abuse especially when I speak perfect English but they don’t care and “what” being yelled at me takes up most of the conversation which they then just make up what they want.

    Economy car booked at LAX. On arrival counter clerk tried to get me to up-grade to a Compact car, saying it would be roomier and more comfortable over long distances at an additional cost of only so many more dollars per day, which I declined and said I would stay with the Economy car booked, asked about cruise-control and was told that only Full-size cars had cruise and would do well to upgrade to one [ at extra cost of course. ] I again declined and was then given a Compact car, at no extra cost. Why ? Because they did not have any Economy cars, having previously tried to get me to pay for an up-grade which they were bound to give me gratis anyway ! Nice try Alamo. On checking 5 different makes of Economy cars, I found that they ALL had cruise control, making the counter-hand, at best, woefully ignorant of the features of the vehicles Alamo rent out, or a deliberate liar at worst. Commission-hungry rental agents who are prepared to tell customers anything to boost their income do little to maintain the reputation and integrity of Alamo. I have taken the matter up with Alamo and am waiting for their response, but thought I should advise you of the dubious methods being practiced there.

    The first staff member we dealt with was extremely unhelpful and was not interested in answering very simple questions about the insurance and made the start of the pick up process frustrating, particularly after a long flight. The manager on duty who we dealt with after being fobbed off by the first staff member was fantastic, answered our questions simply and helped us understand the difference between the insurance policies that we booked through Easyrentcars and Alamo - the two companies provide different levels of cover with different cover providers depending on what insurance you book.

    All cars parked within specific category eg small medium etc so could pick the car you wanted to drive. keys already in the car so just sit and drive out to the boot. Car is scanned to your details and off you go.     The car seemed to have an electrical fault of sorts - we were worried it would break down a few times! The vehicle was relatively clean but there were lots of window smudges on the inside and out, and there wasn’t much washer liquid left to clean them. They seem to add on a lot of additional charges at the counter which aren’t particularly well advertised when you book it. We ended up spending as much at the front desk as we paid to originally hire the car so it ended up being twice as expensive as we thought it would be.

    The whole process of collecting the car is very smooth and the counter staff is able to explain very clearly on the terms and conditions. The staff will ask if you need the insurance coverage from them but she did not try to hard sell to me. My recommendation is not to subscribe to any insurance from the online car rental portal you are using but to purchase directly at the Alamo counter. This approach will give you a worry free trip as you are able to call Alamo for direct assistance if required instead of calling the insurance agency direct while overseas.

    Queue times depend on how many people are there; if there aren't many Chinese, it won't be too slow. Service mainly depends on the renter's English proficiency; you can't expect everyone to speak Chinese. What kind of car you get is pure luck. I once booked a compact car but was able to take a small van after confirming with the staff, and there was no extra charge.

    Overall, I was satisfied with Alamo's service. After landing, there was a free shuttle to the rental point. When returning the car, the staff quickly handled everything and then took me to the airport or hotel. The staff were very nice. However, one vital issue disappointed me: I had planned to drive an American car and reserved a Grand Cherokee or similar model. When I arrived at the office, I was told the last one had been recalled and was unavailable. At the parking lot, a staff member directed me to the fourth row where all the cars were midsize. I noticed larger SUVs like the Explorer in the first row, so I went to the counter to ask for the Explorer key. I was told it was a higher-level model and required an upgrade fee. Reluctantly, I took the key for a Highlander. Later, I found out that the Explorer is indeed in the same class as the Grand Cherokee and many others had gotten the Explorer when they couldn't get a Grand Cherokee. This made me quite annoyed and speechless.

    I booked and paid for the full insurance on Zuzuche. After queuing and handling the paperwork at the store, the staff said there was no Chinese navigation for mid-large SUVs. I asked if it was free, and they said only English was free; Chinese navigation would cost $85 for 4 days. They also said they would give me a good car if I paid an extra $156 to get Chinese navigation for free. Originally, I booked a mid-large SUV, but the store said they'd give me a class 4 vehicle. Zuzuche doesn't categorize cars that way, making it hard to distinguish. They actually gave me a Ford SUV. It feels like even though I paid in full, I had to pay an additional $156, effectively doubling the rental cost. When returning the car, I raised my concerns with the staff, and they only waived $50. So, Zuzuche, please give me an explanation. I called today, but nobody answered, constantly directed to automated services. Please give me a response.

    Very poor experience. We had to wait an hour at the airport for the rental company's shuttle bus, while Herz's shuttle buses came by at least ten times. Once we got to the rental hall, we had to wait another hour and a half in line before it was our turn to complete the paperwork. We had booked a Jeep Grand Cherokee or similar, but the best they had at the lot was a Ford Edge, and there was only one of those left. Most of the available cars were Jeep Compasses. In the end, we ended up with a Nissan Rogue. This was an absolutely awful car rental experience!

There was a gas station nearby the store, and the pick-up and drop-off procedures were smooth. We purchased the most comprehensive insurance on QEEQ, and at the store, we only bought an additional $4.99 Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP), which is optional. After returning the car, we conveniently took the Alamo shuttle to the airport.

    The staff at this Alamo location will try to sell you insurance and other services you didn't purchase. It's up to you to decide whether to buy them or not. The problem is: I booked a 'compact car' (Nissan Versa or similar) through Zuzuche, and the staff said it was too small (I only have two people) and suggested upgrading to a higher class for an additional fifteen dollars per day. I agreed, but when I went to the garage, I got a 'Ford Focus,' which is also listed as a compact car on Zuzuche's website. Why did I pay extra for an upgrade yet still get the same class of car? I think this location takes advantage of renters' unfamiliarity with car models to deceive them into paying for unnecessary upgrades. I've rented from many companies through Zuzuche and have never encountered this problem elsewhere.

    Probably because of the relatively low price, there were a lot of people, and it took almost an hour to get everything sorted.     I am very satisfied with ALAMO in most aspects, but the professionalism of the counter staff at this branch was disappointing. Here are the details: As soon as I entered the store, I saw the model I had reserved--the Grand Cherokee. However, when handling the paperwork at the counter, the staff told me that this model was unavailable and recommended the Cadillac SRX instead, claiming it was a better car but would cost an additional $600 (more than 50% of my total rental cost). I immediately mentioned that I saw a Grand Cherokee at the entrance, but the staff then told me that it was the luxury version, at the same level as the SRX, and could not be counted as the model I had reserved (I really do not understand why the rental price should vary based on the configuration of the same brand). Despite my multiple arguments, he still could not rent me the Grand Cherokee at the entrance, so I had to proceed with paperwork for a different model similar to the Grand Cherokee. However, when I got to the parking lot, the staff responsible for handing over the car pointed to the Grand Cherokee I saw earlier and said, 'This is the one.' I could hardly believe it and confirmed again, 'Is it this one?' He affirmed, 'Yes, it is.' This really made me furious, but considering it was nearly midnight, I decided not to argue with the counter clerk and happily drove off in my ideal model--the Grand Cherokee, completing my 15-day self-drive trip in the US. The Grand Cherokee I rented was a 3.6L V6 (which should be the mid-range model of the Grand Cherokee; I saw many Chinese tourists driving high-end 4WD Grand Cherokees, and I'm not sure if they were renting the same type of car or if their rental prices were similar). I was very satisfied with the car's appearance, space, newness, and power, which added an unforgettable impression to my trip in the US.

The only dissatisfaction is that every time I book a Jeep Grand Cherokee model, I've never once received it. This time, I saw one parked and wanted to take it, but the staff said I'd have to pay extra! I don't know if it's a problem with the rental platform or Alamo, but if you can't get this model at the listed price, don't mislead us.     When we arrived, it wasn't crowded. There were two counters open, and we went directly to handle our reservations. They told us that the reserved Dodge MPV was not available, only a similar Kia, but it was smaller. We could pay extra for a larger MPV or a similar Toyota, but we declined and chose the Kia. When we asked the staff where to pick up the car, they said we could take any car we wanted. We were shocked when we saw all the parked cars, including the reserved Dodges, one Kia, and one Toyota. After comparing all three, we realized the Kia was actually the best option. It's funny; Americans can be tricky too! Also, the car return process was quick; the staff just took a quick look inside and it was done.

    Alamo and National share the same location, and the cars are interchangeable. At the self-service kiosk, you can print the contract in about 5 minutes, then take it and choose your car. We rented a luxury car and initially saw only a Volvo S80, which was nice but we were expecting something like a Cadillac. We asked the staff, and they kindly checked for us, eventually bringing out a freshly cleaned Infiniti QX60. It turned out to be perfect for long trips over the two weeks.

    I booked a large MPV on the website, and the estimated total cost was more than 4,000 RMB. When I picked up the car at the rental company, they asked for my credit card. I repeatedly confirmed with the staff that the payment had been made online. They assured me that the car had been paid for and the credit card was only for potential additional charges. When I went to the car lot, all the cars of the same series were parked together. The staff directed me to the pick-up area and matched my order with one of the cars. There were 7-8 cars including Dodge, Kia, and Chrysler. There was also a Sienna, and I asked the staff if I could take it. The staff said any car in that row was fine. I was happy and didn’t think much of it since they confirmed the payment was already made online and said I could take any of the available cars. I drove off, but later I found out when returning the car that I was charged an additional 5,000 RMB. They said it was for a car upgrade, which means the total cost was now 10,000 RMB instead of the planned 4,000 RMB. It's really not cheap. If I had chosen an upgrade myself, I'd be fine paying more, but they charged me without my consent. I don’t think anyone can accept this. I hope others are cautious when renting cars in the future. This was my first time experiencing this in my three trips to the U.S.

    You can handle the paperwork at the counter in the hall, or use the self-service machines if you have a reservation. They don't push you to buy insurance. After completing the formalities, go directly to the parking lot to pick up a car. The lot is divided into compact, midsize, fullsize, and SUV. Just go to the section of the size you rented and pick one. The keys are already in the cars. Drive your chosen car to the exit, and the staff will scan the contract and the car's barcode, and you're all set. The staff are very enthusiastic.

    1. We arrived at the car rental spot at the airport in the middle of the night, and there were still two counters open, which was great. It takes about 5 minutes to wait for the shuttle bus from the airport to the rental location. 2. The staff were friendly and not pushy. They only asked if we wanted to upgrade the car and recommended the very practical TravelTab (a Samsung Galaxy that functions as a phone, navigation device, and Wi-Fi hotspot). 3. After completing the paperwork, you go to the parking lot to choose a car. All the cars of the class you booked are parked together with the keys in the cars and doors unlocked. You can pick any car and drive away. 4. There were many options available across different car classes. The cars were new, well-maintained, and clean inside. 5. When returning the car, despite not having a full tank because the gas station was far from the return point, the staff said it was fine, which was very considerate.

The pick-up and drop-off procedures are straightforward. Picking up the car took about 15 minutes due to some questions about options, but once done, we headed out to pick up the car and left. For drop-off, we drove to the inspection area. Although it was 8 PM and there were queues, there were many inspectors and the process was quick, with the inspection and receipt printed within 2 minutes. No further waiting was needed.

    At LAX, the entire car rental process is self-service and very convenient, no need to queue. There are staff available nearby to provide help and guidance. I used to use BUDGET, but I’ll switch to ALAMO from now on, very satisfied. The order was for Toyota Corolla or similar, but I got to choose the car myself and picked a Chrysler 200. After a day of driving, the oil light came on, so I went back and exchanged it for another of the same model with only 9000 miles on it. It was very comfortable, and the price was unbeatable. Drove for 10 days, very comfortable. Highly recommend using QEEQ for bookings, the prices are really good, cheaper than other websites I’ve used before.

    We rented a 7-seater minivan for four adults and three children, but the trunk couldn't fit three large and two small suitcases. It was Christmas holiday season and renting a car on the spot was very expensive. We managed by squeezing one large suitcase between the seats for three days and booked another vehicle through the QEEQ website. The on-site price was nearly six times higher than the online quote. Thankfully, we didn't act impulsively. Due to flight delays, we picked up the car a day late and the rental was just under two weeks. After returning home, we found an additional charge of over 50 dollars compared to the website quote. After contacting QEEQ customer service, the car rental company claimed that since we didn't complete the second week, they charged on a daily basis for the second week. After explaining the flight delay, QEEQ's email didn't clarify our situation, and the rental company rejected our claim again. Finally, we directly emailed the rental company, detailed our situation, and received a quick response. They admitted their mistake and refunded the amount to our credit card.

    Car rental services in the US are highly developed. We originally booked a 7-seater van online, but upon arriving at the Los Angeles branch, we found the trunk was a bit small. They allowed us to choose an 8-seater GMC with a bigger trunk and more space. They only charged us an additional insurance fee of around $150, and upgraded our vehicle for free. During the rental period, we had a few issues: a scratch, a flat tire, and a broken window from a thief. Each time, we called the rental company and they directed us to the nearest service point to replace the car for free, without any hassle. If this were in our home country, it would have been a much more troublesome experience. The service attitude was also excellent. Overall, this international car rental experience was very satisfactory.

But this time, I was assisted by an older Indian man whose attitude was extremely cold, filled with arrogance and disdain. He insisted we provide a translation of the license. Later, we switched to a white service agent, and we didn't need any of that—just signed and took the car. The mindset of Indian and Pakistani staff really needs to be adjusted. At the counter, there was a dark-skinned man who looked like he might be Mexican. After verifying the documents, he asked if we wanted to buy insurance. Since we had already purchased full coverage when booking the car, we refused. He then claimed that the car we reserved was no longer available and recommended another car that would cost an additional $100 per day. We saw several Chevrolet Suburban SUVs, the type we reserved, parked in the lot, which made it clear that he was being difficult on purpose. After some arguments and taking photos of the cars in the lot, he reluctantly processed our rental.

    This was my first time renting a car abroad through QEEQ (specifically near Los Angeles Airport, as there are no car rental agencies within the airport). The process was quite smooth. There are car rental shuttle buses at the airport that provide free transport to the rental agencies (make sure to get on the right shuttle for your agency). During the check-in process, they asked if I wanted additional insurance such as collision damage and passenger insurance. I opted only for third-party liability insurance with a coverage of 1 million dollars. There are three fuel return options: 1) Prepay for a full tank and return the car empty, which is the cheapest per gallon but only worth it if you return it empty; 2) Have the rental agency refuel upon return, which is the most expensive per gallon; 3) Return the car with a full tank, which is what I chose.

    The rental store near Los Angeles Airport is a few kilometers from the airport. If there is no traffic, it takes just a few minutes to get there. We encountered peak traffic and it took us over ten minutes to get there. We arrived at 9 PM with over ten people in line, and it took about half an hour before it was our turn. The car rental process was completed in about ten minutes, with no upselling or hidden charges. You can choose between different brands within the same class when picking up the car in the parking lot. We opted for a Hyundai Santa Fe, which was larger than the originally booked RAV4. Returning the car was almost hassle-free; simply drive to the designated location, hand over the key, take the receipt, unload your luggage, and you're good to go. It was very convenient! Next time I am in the USA, I will definitely choose ALAMO for car rental again.

    The Chinese assistant helped us with the pickup, which was very convenient and fast. We specifically chose a Camry, but when we got to the store, there were not many good options for the same category. We ended up with a basic Jeep. It looked fine from the outside and had a mileage of several thousand, but the acceleration was very slow. On American highways, speeds are generally above 100 km/h, and to keep up, we had to press the gas hard, which was exhausting.

    The service attitude was quite average. During the process, the staff kept talking on their mobile phones and were constantly trying to upsell me to upgrade the car model. Although the rental company claimed to provide a car similar to the Grand Cherokee, that was not possible in the US. Upgrading to a Grand Cherokee required an additional cost, and I ended up with a Hyundai Santa Fe. If I wanted a Grand Cherokee, it would have cost an extra $30/day. A friend of mine, who followed the same route but arrived at a different time, was quoted $50/day for the upgrade. I arrived at the rental location at around noon in Los Angeles, and there were very few car options available. Most of the available cars were small SUVs with over 20,000 miles on them. The Santa Fe could hold four 26-inch suitcases. Overall, the car rental experience was very average and not very satisfactory.

    The shuttle bus stop is right outside the airport, taking you directly to the company. The shuttle driver was very friendly. The car pickup process was very smooth and the car was in good condition! Returning the car was very quick, taking less than a minute... And the shuttle to the airport is just twenty meters away from the drop-off point, making it extremely convenient! I will definitely rent from them again in the future.

    There was a free shuttle from the airport to the car rental company, which was very convenient. The staff on the bus were friendly, but they do expect tips, which is understandable considering their hard work. The staff at the rental company were okay. However, there was one dissatisfaction: on the website, different prices were listed for small, medium, and large SUVs. But when we arrived, we found that as long as you paid for a 5-seat SUV, you could pick any car of the same specification. Had we known this, we would have paid for the cheapest SUV and chosen a bigger car. The parking lot had no management, and the car keys were left inside the cars. You just find your car and drive out to register at the exit.

    Very dissatisfied with the paid upgrade! I selected a standard SUV on the ZuzuCar website, and it mentioned that the Jeep Grand Cherokee was included in this category. I specifically wanted to rent a Grand Cherokee, so I checked Alamo's website where it also listed the Grand Cherokee under standard SUVs. When I picked up the car at the Los Angeles Airport, I needed to add an additional driver, so I processed it at the counter. The staff at the counter confirmed the car type with me, and I said I rented a Grand Cherokee. The staff emphasized the term 'OR Similar,' then directed us to the row of standard SUVs to choose a car. When we got there, we were very disappointed to find no Grand Cherokees, only models like the Jeep Compass, RAV4, or Jeep Cherokee. I initially thought we were just unlucky and that all the Grand Cherokees were rented out, but then I saw a freshly washed white Grand Cherokee in the first row. We excitedly asked the staff if we could rent that one, but were told it was a 'limited' high-end version. If it wasn't 'limited,' it would be available in our category; otherwise, we'd need to pay extra for an upgrade. This made it clear to me what 'Or Similar' actually meant. Very unhappy with this, I called ZuzuCar for confirmation, but we didn't get a resolution at the moment. ZuzuCar's customer service told us to keep the relevant evidence and that we could upgrade first while they looked into it. So we went to process the upgrade, and this time another person assisted us. When she asked what type of upgrade I wanted, I said a Jeep Grand Cherokee. She didn't ask whether it was the high-end version, just quoted us the price. I found it odd because if we chose the Grand Cherokee within the standard SUV category, the model difference shouldn't matter. This staff then informed me that in the standard SUV category, the Grand Cherokee lacks Bluetooth and other advanced features, and their location didn't even have such models! So it wasn't a matter of bad luck with all the low-end models being rented out; they simply didn't have any low-end Grand Cherokees! Due to the upgrade, we had to pay additional airport taxes and fees, which were initially supposed to be included in the order. Now we can only wait for ZuzuCar to respond.

    We picked up the car at the Los Angeles airport location. There were both self-service machines and manned counters. After seeing the long line at the manned counters, we decided to try the self-service machine. We entered a lot of information, which took a long time, but in the end, it printed out a small slip of paper instead of a contract. Since our return time was outside their business hours, we were told to go to the manned counter. A helpful lady suggested changing the return time, but since it might take even longer and there could be other issues, we decided to join the queue. We waited for a long time. The middle-aged man who attended to us had a stern expression and tried to sell us insurance. I told him I already had third-party insurance and showed him the notice under the rental order on QEEQ. He wasn't happy but walked away. When he returned, he asked me to sign a lot of liability clauses in a cold tone. The guy helping us choose a car was really nice. Under the SUV section, there were options like the Grand Cherokee, Buick Envision, Santa Fe, Toyota, and more. Only the Buick had leather seats, which I thought would be easier to clean, so we picked the Buick. It was a new car and drove very well. We returned the car in the early morning at Bozeman airport. We parked the car in the designated area, took photos, and followed the signs to the rental car counter in the airport terminal. We filled out a form and had to write down the parking spot, but we couldn't remember it, so we just noted the row and side. We then dropped the keys into the key box. The process went quite smoothly. We also rented from Alamo in North Carolina, and their service was much better than in Los Angeles. The car was even upgraded, though it was a bit older and did not drive as well.

    The service from Alamo was very average, possibly because it's cheap. They don't accept UnionPay cards and there is no Chinese service. There were many people in line and few staff. I clearly chose a large SUV, but upon arrival, I was told I could only rent a small SUV. I originally wanted to rent a Grand Cherokee. I'm not sure whether this was an issue with Zuzuche or ALAMO.     The staff basically had no sense of service and were trying to squeeze more money out of us. I strongly advise everyone not to choose this car rental company. First, the employee at the counter spent half an hour fiddling with the computer, trying to upgrade me to a better car model. He informed me that the car I originally booked was unavailable (the premium version would cost over $500 more), but as soon as he realized I wasn't going to pay extra, we were immediately told to get our car. Speaking of picking up the car, the parking lot actually had plenty of the model I originally booked, despite being told otherwise. Fortunately, I didn't upgrade. The pickup process was entirely self-service with no guidance or assistance. It was dark, and nobody helped with installing the child seat. A group of employees just stood around chatting. When we asked for help with the child seat, we were told, 'I can tell you how to install it, but I can't help you.' I had to give one star because there was no option for zero stars. If negative ratings were possible, I would definitely choose that.

    The United States is indeed a country on wheels. Once you get off the plane, there are no taxis or subways; you basically head straight to the car rental companies. However, compared to my car rental experience in Europe, there are too many extra charges. Initially, I had already spent over 5700 RMB when booking from China, which claimed to include all rental fees, taxes, insurance, and additional drivers. But upon picking up and returning the car, I was charged an additional $344 for alleged various airport taxes and insurance. Additionally, despite returning the car with a full tank of gas, I was still charged around $60 for a full tank, even though locally filling up a tank does not cost that much. Returning the car two hours late incurred an extra day's rental fee plus tax. Moreover, they refused to refund me, citing that I was over two hours late. Well, if you don't have ample free time, I suggest you don't choose Alamo and try other options!

    On the first day, the counter staff strongly recommended upgrading to a higher-end model at $30/day. After I declined, they immediately dropped the price to $20/day, totaling $260 for 13 days, plus over $300 with tax and insurance. Upon picking up the car, I noticed scratches and took photos and videos, but the staff didn't note it down. The next day, when I went back to the airport to pick up my husband, the maintenance light came on. I quickly drove back to the rental company and requested a replacement. Fortunately, the manager attended to us and replaced the car with a new one with just over 1,000 kilometers. It somewhat compensated for the initial dissatisfaction! We had a different drop-off location; after inspection, the staff handed us a document. My husband carefully reviewed it and noticed they wrongly charged us for 3 gallons of fuel at $6/gallon, despite returning the car with a full tank. After further checking, they reduced the charge by $50. Make sure to inspect everything thoroughly during the rental process and contest any discrepancies!

    In February this year, exactly like February last year, and almost the same trip, the same strange incident happened. I picked up the car with a full tank and returned it with a full tank, but both times I got charged $65. I only found out about it after returning to my home country last year and multiple complaints led nowhere. This year I made sure to point it out when returning the car, and without asking any questions, they refunded me immediately! I can't help but suspect this might be intentional. I hope for an explanation. ALEMO is usually cheaper on the ZUZUCHE platform, but once you get there, they strongly recommend upgrading the vehicle and adding extra insurance. Various charges (like $145 for 8 days of GPS; last year, I got talked into adding over $700 of extra insurance and received a free GPS, the charges can be very arbitrary), and then casually being charged $65 for 8 days of rental at $15 per day, once confirmed, they would immediately refund it! Am I being overly suspicious?

    The whole trip was quite good, but the experience of changing the car at the end was extremely frustrating. The manager at Alamo's Los Angeles station and a female African American clerk deceived and extorted us when we went to replace the key out of goodwill and honesty, charging us $223 for a lost or damaged key. Our car window was broken in San Francisco, and we were worried the car change process would be cumbersome, so we arrived at the return point more than an hour early. A young Chinese man received us, issued an incident report, printed a receipt, and told us not to worry, the insurance company would handle it, and we could leave after collecting our belongings. As we were heading to the airport, we realized after passing through security that we had forgotten to return the car key. We were about to board the plane, so it was too late to go back. Although we could have pretended we didn't know since the car was successfully returned and we had a receipt indicating everything was normal, we decided to be honest. We couldn't bear the thought of the young man taking the blame for the missing key. I called a relative in the US to help contact the car rental company, stating we could return the key to the Los Angeles Alamo after we landed. The Alamo customer service said we could return it by mail to San Francisco or bring it to their Los Angeles station, though we might have to pay for postage. Although I was a bit frustrated about the postage, we went to Los Angeles International Airport's Alamo the next morning to return the key. A female African American employee in the after-sales department received me, and after explaining the situation, she brought her manager, a Middle Eastern man. These two staff members made this rental experience a disaster! They showed the small tag on the key, which stated a $223 fee for a lost or damaged key. Honestly, we hadn't noticed the tag after using the car for days. I told her I didn't lose or damage it; I accidentally took it and came here to return it out of goodwill. If it was just a matter of a few dozen dollars for postage, we could negotiate, but I would not accept the $223 fee. Their staff did not remind us to hand over the key, and we had completed the return process. If I didn't return the key, it would be more trouble to make a new one. The woman smugly said I could take the key back, and they would deduct it from the pre-authorization. I said we returned the car just last evening, explained the situation to customer service, and came to return the key first thing in the morning; they shouldn't have made a new key yet, and there was no real loss. She then told me to wait. The manager was on the phone, seemingly confirming with San Francisco. After the call, he sternly told me that they had already made a new key, so I must pay for it. I had to wait there while my relative directly called Alamo's San Francisco station, who confirmed they had not made a new key and appreciated our effort to return the key but hoped we could mail it back by Tuesday. It was a weekend, so the courier service was closed, meaning I had to use overnight delivery on Monday. Though postage would be costly, it was reasonable compared to $223. Before leaving, I asked to take a picture of the Middle Eastern manager's name tag, but he gave me a business card instead. His name is Sameer Saddiqi, Station Manager, and I will file a complaint to Alamo about his and his employee's despicable behavior. UPS delivery cost $39.85, a lesson for my kindness! It wasted most of my day arguing with those scumbags and finding a courier to mail the key! I hope Zuzuche will hold such car rental companies accountable and give them a poor service rating!
