Bad attitude

As described on the page, when you rent a car from Alamo in Edinburgh, UK, the service is actually provided by Enterprise. I went to pick up the car at 8 AM and didn't have to wait in line. The whole process of picking up and checking the car was very smooth, and the staff were very responsive.

Like: Picking up the car was painless, I was expecting lots of paperwork and hassle but this was not the case. I was dealt with in a friendly manner and very efficiently. Would highly recommend. The vehicle I was given was superb and tempted to buy one now

No one accompanied me to inspect or receive the car. The vehicle had damage that wasn't indicated before the handover.

The rental company couldn't find the booking record at all, taking a long time to verify. In the end, it was almost like booking all over again. It took a long time to sort out details like insurance, delaying the pickup by nearly an hour.

Like: Friendly and easy going staff at their Gatwick location. When faced with some issues on the booking and with the car; it was easily dealt with and we were away with no dramas. Equally friendly at the other end of our one way drop off in Oxford.
Dislike: The fact that I left my child's car seat in the vehicle and it hasn't turned up yet. Not exactly their fault, but would have liked to see some sort of follow up on this by now; as it's been several days since I reported it. Hopefully, it will be located and we can get it back to Australia without too much drama.

Booked a Ford Explorer with expensive rental fee and full insurance, but got a smaller Hyundai Tucson upon pickup. Highly dishonest!

Service was mediocre. The booked model was downgraded but no refund has been issued yet.
