You might need to use a free shuttle bus to get to the rental desk. Check the pickup type carefully when doing your rental.Rental car transfers are located at the northern end of the International Arrivals Hall, between the terminal and the Long Stay car park (exit through door 9 past the Vodafone counter).nnIf customers are already in the city, please contact us the day prior to pick up to organise a city shuttle. There would be not need to taxi to the airport and wait for our shuttle.

Due to a flight delay, I arrived late at night and couldn't pick up the car that day. The next morning, I called the rental company, and the owner personally drove to my hotel to take me to the office for the paperwork and car pick-up. The owner also drove me back to the hotel when I returned the car. Quite an experience! (It's a small company with limited staff.) Haha.

The store is quite far from the airport, and the shuttle bus to the airport only runs 5 times a day, which is not very convenient. Abell is a small company; one afternoon in Queenstown, the car wouldn't start, and I called the rental company for half an hour with no response. I had to ask the police for help eventually. Later, I finally got in touch with the rental company, and they said there was no branch in Queenstown, so no replacement car was available. However, there's a nice Chinese guy at their Christchurch branch.

Small company, only saw one employee from start to finish. The attitude was good, but the service... The car provided was very old. The front desk only had one person working, so we couldn't exchange the car or cancel. This company is also far from the airport, and returning with luggage to find another rental company would take a lot of time. We thought it wasn't worth it, so we just accepted the old car.
