The service was provided by a nice guy with good English communication skills. Since we picked up the car early, there was no need to queue and the process took less than 10 minutes.
The staff didn't seem friendly or proactive. When I asked why the car differed from my reservation, they responded that they didn't know because I booked online.
They forced me to pay an extra 300 Euros for insurance, claiming it was mandatory to guarantee with a personal VISA chip card. I contacted the after-sales service of the rental platform immediately, but to no avail, so I had to pay.
The front desk staff of this company was extremely rude, and the process for renting a car was very disorganized. What is even more outrageous is that they charge an exorbitant car cleaning fee: 60 euros (including tax) for a Golf. Additionally, if you do not refuel the car fully, they charge three times the market rate for the fuel. I highly recommend not renting from this company. Opt for well-known brands like Europcar, Sixt, or Hertz instead.
First, I want to thank the Zuzuche platform. Over the past few years, I have frequently used this platform to rent cars for my overseas trips. This review is about my car rental experience at Frankfurt Airport in Germany. Originally, I requested a Ford wagon considering the length of my luggage. However, after completing the procedures at Terminal 1 and heading to the underground parking, I found an Opel compact car instead. Their parking lot had many cars, including numerous Ford wagons as requested. There were no service personnel in the parking area, so I returned to the service desk to explain the situation. I insisted on the Ford wagon, but the customer service tried to increase the price. Unable to reach an agreement, I decided to cancel the rental and called Zuzuche in China. During this call, the service personnel then mentioned that a Ford wagon was available in Terminal 2. I immediately went there, completed the procedures, and found the car in the parking lot without any assistance. After inspecting the car, I noticed obvious scratches on the front and back bumpers. I took photos and went back to the service desk to report it. They said that if I provide the photos with time and location when returning the car, it would be fine. With this confirmation, I started my trip. However, during the return, they made an issue about the front scratches being recorded but not the rear ones. They asked me to send the photos to their email and noted the situation in German on the return document. After returning home, I sent the photos and details to their email. Soon after, I received a charge of 1000 Euros on my credit card, in addition to the 1000 Euro deposit taken during the rental. I felt scammed, especially considering a German rental company shouldn't rent out damaged cars, particularly when there were many other normal cars available. This happened in Frankfurt, which was very unexpected. Looking around, other rental companies had rented out most of their cars, while this company had many cars left in the garage. It clearly indicates issues with their business model. Currently, I have reported this to Zuzuche customer service, who are helping me recover the charges. I suggest not cooperating with such dishonest companies and ensuring the rights of domestic users renting cars abroad, as we trust Zuzuche to assist us when problems arise overseas.
This is my second time renting from this company in Budapest since 2014. Overall, I am very satisfied. There was no one else at the counter when I picked up the car, so the paperwork was processed very quickly. They even upgraded my vehicle to a small SUV, and there was no aggressive upselling of insurance. Highly recommended!
my only complaint was at Buchbinder they have plastic boxes with lots of keys in each box. Originally I was going to get a Fiat Panda, then he changed his mind and said ill give you this instead. I am still trying to work out how the picture I have sent is like the one I ordered or similar ? I was so tired as I had been up since Thursday 15:00pm so around 23hrs and we had a 60min drive to Dortmund. I think it wouldn't of mattered what I ordered from Easyrentals, Buchbinder just pick a key out the box.
The attitude of this company is extremely bad. They do not accept magnetic stripe credit cards and do not inform upfront. I purchased full insurance, but they still charged me 1200 euros as a deposit. They also charge 45 euros for cross-border service, very greedy. I tried to negotiate with the rental platform for a refund, and it's been 7 days without any response. Later, I went to HERZ and was very satisfied. A 9-seater Mercedes for less than 400 euros for 3 days with full insurance, with a prepaid fuel charge of a bit more than 200 euros. When returning the car, the inspection staff falsely claimed that 45 euros of fuel was missing, even though the tank was full. I went to the HERZ counter, showed my refueling receipt which confirmed a full tank, and they said I had done the right thing and would verify it at the counter.
This car rental company barely had any of the reserved models. Several of us booked Volkswagen Passat station wagons, but we were given Opel station wagons instead. Their attitude was very firm, saying that's the only car available. Even after trying to coordinate with the rental platform, nothing changed. It's unacceptable to bait customers with lower-priced Volkswagen cars and then provide something completely different. If possible, I would give a negative rating. One wise friend who didn't choose this company got the car he reserved even though he picked it up later. Infuriating! Also, we saw a low tire pressure warning on the dashboard. The desk staff tried to brush us off by saying it was because of the winter tires. We insisted on having the tires checked, and it turned out one tire was nearly half deflated. It needed to be reinflated. This desk staff could have put us in serious danger! Extremely irresponsible!
Terrible experience. We purchased the full supplementary insurance, but the staff claimed it wasn't valid in Germany and persuaded us to buy an additional 350 euro insurance. Their German-accented English was hard to understand.
I had read some not-so-great reviews about this place on Google Maps, so I was a bit worried. But when I went there, there was no queue, and the staff was quite friendly. However, their strong German-accented English made communication slightly challenging. The process of providing an international driving permit, license, credit card, and passport was straightforward. Overall, my experience was very good.
