SCAMMERS

Called the car rental company to pick me up from the airport, waited for 20 minutes.

1. Picking up and dropping off the car is extremely inconvenient, very frustrating. The car rental company is located far from the airport. Upon arrival at the airport, you need to call the rental company at 1-647-6914042. However, this number only provides automated voice service, and there is no option to reach a live representative or request a shuttle. You end up waiting at the airport without being able to contact them. Calling QEEQ customer service also didn't help, as they couldn't reach the rental company either. I had to wait until the rental company's shuttle happened to drop off other passengers. Overall, the pickup and drop-off process is very inconvenient, and I strongly recommend against renting from this company. 2. The staff forced me to buy their insurance at a high price. I told the staff that I had already purchased insurance through QEEQ, but they didn't believe me and demanded proof of purchase. QEEQ did not provide a certificate but did show coverage amounts. The staff then claimed that the 50,000 RMB coverage from QEEQ was insufficient and insisted I buy their insurance with a 25,000 CAD (125,000 RMB) coverage. They explicitly stated that without purchasing their insurance, I couldn't rent the car. After wasting 1-2 hours and with no help from QEEQ customer service, who suggested I purchase the insurance and claim later, I had no choice but to buy their overpriced insurance. Overall, the mandatory insurance purchase and poor attitude strongly suggest avoiding this rental company. 4. They falsely accused me of causing a small scratch on the car's underside. The car swap severely disrupted my trip, so I didn't thoroughly inspect the replacement vehicle. The staff assured me that minor scratches wouldn't matter. However, when returning the car, they found a small scratch underneath and forced me to pay 800 CAD for repairs. Although QEEQ customer service said I could claim this through insurance, the rental company's behavior was appalling. It feels like they use various tactics to extort money from customers. I strongly advise against renting from this company. 5. Staff repeatedly made billing errors when I returned the car. I had pre-paid part of the rental through QEEQ and was supposed to pay the rest on-site. The initial bill included both the rental fee and mandatory insurance. When I mentioned the pre-payment, the staff denied it and claimed the pre-payment was made to QEEQ, not them. After some frustration, they finally discovered I had rented from Right Cars and found my order, confirming my pre-payment. Then, they unexpectedly waived the mandatory insurance fee, contradicting the initial insistence at pickup. This inconsistency and unprofessional behavior are unacceptable. The rental company near Toronto Airport, Right Cars, is extremely unprofessional and has poor customer service. I strongly recommend against renting from them.

Noone in office, no car was made available for us. They couldn’t find my number to call us. We ended up using a different company Which delayed us 2.5 hrs trying to sort out. Will actively tell people to never use this company

Picked up the car at 11 AM at the airport. There was only one staff member, a friendly Czech guy. He explained the process in the reception office and then went to the parking garage for the handover. Everything went smoothly without any queues.

Gave the wrong car and refused to replace it. Forced the user to accept it.

Unclear insurance requirements coat an extra $8 / day

The staff service attitude was very good. However, we didn't get the car we reserved, which made us feel deceived and forced to choose the car they provided. Not recommended.

the company official informed me that I should be obliged to hire more insurance than necessary. at the time of the pickup I did not know all the information and it ended up making my hiring more difficult. The cars front bumper was falling off, and it had all kinds of dings on it. The paperwork was printed so small you couldn’t hardly read it and had all these rediculous added fees that they tried to get me to agree to. They said they couldn’t take my insurance and I had to get there’s. I argued and they finally took mine. It was a big deal trying to get a shuttle from the airport to the car rental place. We waited over 45 min for the van. I called them 3 times before someone finally showed up.

You need to ask someone to call the rent a car for them to pick you up. They tell you to use the courtesy phone; but the phone doesn't work.

Had to transfer twice to reach the rental point, and the service of the small company was average.

When we got the car, it only had a quarter tank of fuel. After getting on the highway, it suddenly showed no fuel. We barely made it to a gas station and added 40 NZD, but the gauge didn't move much. Feeling very anxious, I added another 30 NZD, and then it showed 80%. In the end, all we did was drive from the airport to the city and back, not anywhere else. So, if I had to return it with a full tank, 10 NZD of fuel would have been enough. The rental company refused to refund the extra fuel I added, saying the reason was the boss wasn't around. So I hope you can help coordinate this.
