The customer service at the counter of hertz was appalling to say the least by a staff member there when I questioned as to why I’m being charged a thousand dollars as a security deposit although on prior to picking the car I rang up and was told and confirmed it would be $100 when I asked to speak to the manager at the counter a woman by the name of Theresa jumped in to say she was the manager and couldn’t help and not even two minutes later a customer who was picking up a car walked back in complaining about why her vehicle is in an unclean state at the same time another gentleman walked in who worked for hertz and Theresa proceeded to ask him what she should do regarding the customer at desk complaining about the unclean vehicle at the time I knew I was lied to by Theresa that infact she wasn’t the manager on duty and had lied straight to my face and I then confirmed with the gentleman if he could clarify to me who the manager on duty is and proceeded to say it was him when I raised my issue about being lied to and about the security bond he then tells me that I don’t need to take the car if I don’t want the car gees what kind of customer service is that... then I caught Theresa writing nasty notes to the guy who was serving me and the minute she noticed I had picked up on what she was doing took the note flipped it over but it was to late as I had seen it and snapped a pic she was absolutely a horrible person to deal with no customer service whatsoever
Even the gentleman that was actually serving me that was and processing my paperwork apologised to me on existing the car park he understood that how unprofessional it was for her to lie to me straight up to my face about her position
His customer service was great and professional but felt like he could be intimidated by this Theresa lady I would seriously hate to work with a person of that nature
Apart from the customer service received all was great but honestly I don’t think I would book again re herts

Booking platform was awesome love the point system which helps in reducing costs it’s a win win situation for both customer and business
The car was fine. The issue was the delay at pick up. I do not understand why the car was not ready for pick up when we arrived. Or why the customer service person did not call for the car when we first arrived. Why did she call after the paperwork was all done and then we had to stand around waiting. Sadly this meant we were late for the function we were attending
Cheapest price for the rental I could find on the internet. Quick service at pick up. Location right at airport at drop off. Will book through this website again next time.

I am a frequent flier and always hire a car, however this is the first time I've used Firefly...I initially chose to use them because of cost; they were very competitively priced. The additional costs of the 'full to empty' which I experienced at the collection desk was (in my opinion) unclear and not in alignment to other car hire companies that I have used. At the point of collecting the vehicle I was offered to upgrade to 'full to full' to avoid the cost to refuel and service costs associated with refuelling which would have been about 70% of the initial hire cost!!
Overall, once upgraded to full to full, (only 30 euros additional cost) the cost was still good value and the car was in good condition and more than met my needs. I would recommend, and use Firefly again, but maybe scrutinise the fuel policy to ensure that it is the best price and policy for my requirements.
I just don't like having to question and negotiate at the car hire desk when I am under the impression that I have selected and completed an agreement.

No clear signage in the airport directing you to firefly in the car park.
Despite pre booking I had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes- not enough cars available. I was told I had no choice of vehicle within the group I had ordered but the colleague beside me was offering multiple choices to other clients who had no booking! Also was charged a 34€ service charge for full to empty ( not very clear on the booking site) despite then telling me that if I return it full I would get the full fuel refund but still have to pay the 34 € service charge!!!
After the delay I was told there was no damage on the car - I inspected it and had to return to the office to tell them there were 22 scraps and dents on the car!!!
I will never use this provider again!
I will be in Spain every week for the next 6 weeks and will use another provider or the bus!!!

The customer care service was just terrible!! We were a little bit late to pick up the car and was impossible to talk with him by telephone!
I also was charged with a airport fee which was imposed to be included in the price EasyRentCars charged me. I don't think I will repeat.
I reserved a ‘full size’ car. I was given an Opel Astra and told this is the biggest car they do. An Astra is not a full size car. I was expecting a Mondeo ( Fusion ) sized vehicle. We managed because they had nothing else to give me.
Great simple cheap alternative that met my requirements - the only issues was that the car was not ready, even though it was booked and the car was not totally clean - it had been washed poorly which made it challenging to check for any pre-existing damage

Great online tool - the massive benefit is the total insurance coverage which brings the overall hire expense down a huge amount. Love it and have used it several times.
sadly firefly staff would not accept that i had my own insurance and quoted '' not with firefly you haven't!' 'she then insisted I buy more! Hidden within the fuel options! She was Kurt with her responses and not at all accommodating. For this reason I would never use or recommend
firefly again.

J'ai dû régler 93 € d'assurance à mon arrivée et on me proposait même de régler 200€ pour une assurance plus complète. Ce n'était pas mentionné dans le contrat que j'ai signé. Un gps m'a également été facturé alors qu'il se trouvait dans le vehicule. De plus, j'ai rendu la voiture le jeudi matin 22 août et espère un remboursement des 24h non louées.
After walking some distance from the terminal with 3 young children to collect my car I arrived at the service desk. there were two people om the desk for four rental companies. It was unclear where to queue so as only one customer was being served i showed the other person my agreement to be told know you must queue behind this person as this is the line for firefly. The person in front was having trouble with their credit card authorisation. when i finally got to the front a gentleman came and stood behind me. I was then rudely asked to step to one side as the customer had already been served and the desk clerk wanted to know what the issue was. He then informed her that the car that the damaged she had marked on the car was incorrect and in fact there was far more damage and he wanted this noted and signed for not that i can blame him but i thought to myself surely he could of sorted this after myself had been served as i had three young children with me. Finally got served and was offered a choice of 3 cars Nissan Duke, Volkswagen Golf, Fiat 500 crossover. None of these were the full size car that was advertised as a ford fusion. I had two large suit cases with me and asked well what has the most boot space. The desk clerk couldn't tell me so asked another colleague who advise the golf would be the best option. They also tried to upsell me the full package insurance but i showed them i had purchased full access insurance in the UK. i was given directions to take the lift up and my car would be located in the hertz lot just outside the lift. This was not the case and i had to trudge through different lots trying to find this. To say it reminded me of a scene from trains, planes, and automobiles is an under statement. I also noticed far more scratches, bumps, and dings on the car than were indicated but was told just to take pictures if there was an issue. On returning the car i was advised there was a €159.00 Euro fee to pay something of which i was not advised.
